Lanning needs to stop trying to hire mirror images of him. It’s time to bring in some proven offensive coaches that can build an identity. No more Stein experience, we need a real OC that understands how to utilize talent. I hope he doesn’t promote Mehringer.

Hey, not everyone can do this job, it is what it is. But he has yet to show us he can perform at the highest level.
Except Iowa and Penn State.

I just don't think you can build the whole plane out of Moore. He's not THAT good. With the running backs out, that's what we attempted/had to do here.

Mendoza was a 2* and just pretty good at Cal, but Indiana has made him into a real star. That’s what elite coaching does.
Or Mendoza has 14 more career starts, which may make some difference.
Ducks are young compared to Indy, but getting bludgeoned, not putting up a fight? Getting blown out at this point of the season? Coaching sucked this game. It’s on all the coaches. The talent is there, as the record indicates.

Dude, yes, Moore is sucking, but this is the product of Will Stein, the most overrated OC in Oregon football history.

EVERY SINGLE TIME! Meaning he has had 2 bad games that cost them in his first full season as a starter. Huge sample. Does every single time only count games he loses and we ignore the games he plays well in? Trying to figure out how we define a “time.”

Expected a dumpster fire in here after the first half. I see the usual suspects confirming that. Rational as always.

Hopefully new OC will focus more on fundamentals rather than fancy, trick plays. You have 4+ star players you should not need trick plays as much. Look forward to some wholesale offensive changes next year.

Mendoza won the Heisman, even if the award is flawed, Mendoza is one of the top 5 players overall in CFB. Can't rely a HS evaluation once a guy has game experience in college. Not everybody develops at exactly the same rate.
Are you agreeing with me? Not sure what your point is. As I said, he was just ok before Indiana.
Sorta but not entirely? I think we'd be in better shape if Oregon had Mendoza and Indiana had Moore. But that wouldn't change the fact that Indiana is destroying us at the LOS.

Mendoza being a 2* says more about the talent evaluators than it does about Mendoza. They still have bad misses (the evaluators do) despite how much they insist that scouting has advanced tremendously.

Maybe step away from the keyboard for a few y’all.

These beat downs aren’t fun but the meltdowns the board has had this year are otherworldly.

This is a young, young, young team and a QB that needed his confidence rebuilt after a terrible year at UCLA. We are still learning and growing as a program.

The sun will come up tomorrow. I promise.

Go Ducks!
Trying to reason with the game thread unhinged is pointless.

And you are here to only comment on other posters, not the game. Say what you want but the biggest dumpster fire has been from our Oregon Ducks tonight.

Nope. Outside of the game thread dumpster fire over reactions, there is some rational and sane conversation.

Guys, what’s the point of investing every Saturday for 1/4 of the year for us to get blown out without a fight. Second time in a row. Help me not lose hope as a duck fan.

Bring in the walk on.
Would it be worse?

None of which you contribute to. You only add insults. You're useless and smug.
