In terms of depth, ya for sure. But we’ll also have a ton of returning starting experience.

OL is probably the greatest position of concern right now. The other positions lacking depth we can fill in with a transfer or incoming freshman or someone unexpected will fill it in.

LB worries me like it does every year.

DL recruiting was great the first couple seasons but tailed off because the need wasn't there as those guys filled up the depth chart. That's coming back to bite them.

LB might be most frustrating position. They've been finalists for a few top guys but have had to settle for developmental and transfer guys to man the position. They got real lucky that Boettcher went from walk-on safety to potential NFL draft pick

Oregon will absolutely be a CFP contender again. Every team is going through this.

Dan Lanning has proven to be an elite roster builder and he'll figure this out. Big picture, though, the talent gap between first and second stringers will probably widen somewhat on teams across the board as more talented rotation players seek bigger opportunities at schools they wouldn't have previously considered.

It makes me wonder if Tosh leaving may have something to do with it. Hampton is said to be an excellent coach. I just don't understand.

What? For QB, I think Dante is back. For RB, we have Davison and Hill back, plus Riggs. Just need a depth piece. WR? No, we are stacked. For TE, likely have Jamari as our 1, with talks of a potential sadiq return still. Olesh could step in, but might be good to get a vet who doesn’t necessarily expect to start just in case. OL, I agree they need to add a few pieces, but it is not a rebuild. DL is obviously extremely thin, but we have all starters back and hopefully they can convince 1 or 2 portal guys to come back and add 1 or 2 more. DB, really? Just need a nickel and a depth piece or two. Hardly a rebuild either way.

My new favorite theory is that Coach Lanning saw the lackluster effort from the Tosh-recruited DL backups in the JMU game and decided to scrap them and start new. So he is taking all the NIL money he saved to go after Jordan Seaton.

Not the worst theory I've heard this week.

Quiet day considering tomorrow is the last day to register for the NFL draft. Crickets about Sadiq, Dante or Thieneman

For me, this is a burning question, along with hiring or announcing a new OC...

Admittedly, I watched zero Colorado games this season. Anyone know the ratio of hype to performance for Seaton? PFF scores? Appears he was 2nd team all-conference for coaches but neither 1st or 2nd for media.

I didn't watch any CU games either...

As a true freshman in 2024, he started all 13 games at left tackle, earning Freshman All-American honors. Last year, he was once again one of college football's top pass protectors, posting an 83.9 grade according to Pro Football Focus. His run blocking (52 grade from PFF) was a different story, and like most of CU's offensive line, Seaton struggled. His play still earned him All-Big 12 honors and a midseason All-American.

Yeah, was just trying not to include the true freshman, as you never know if they’ll be ready to contribute or not.
