Re: Oregon Football - 2026 Transfer Portal
Tradarian Ball was a slot receiver at his high school this year, and probably in the neighborhood of 175 pounds. He could surprise, but I wouldn't expect him to contribute at running back in 2026.
One thing I've found surprising so far is how many of the outbound Ducks are still in the portal and have not committed anywhere. Maybe everyone has made up their minds, but there might be some guys who test the market and ultimately withdraw (and god I hope it's Terrance Green).

Utah CB Snowden Smith has committed to Michigan over Oregon. Not too much of a surprise that he'd follow Whittingham. Oregon will need to find another nickel back now.

To whichever mods are updating the OP along with me, please keep the list of players who committed elsewhere. I'd like to have it to potentially look back on.

"11,700 kids currently in the portal."
Its a complete sh*t show. Something is going to have to change, this is totally out of control.

Looks like Green is in the portal now too. Wow.StevensTechU wrote: Mon Jan 12, 2026 8:57 pm We're actually in really rough shape at DT now. Washington, Bear, Green is as formidable as any, but the drop off between those first two and Matt Johnson is stark. I also think Green is a future NFL player.

Ohio State DL Trajen Odom has hit the portal. Oregon was a finalist for him out of HS.

Perhaps I am naive, and why are so many of our players leaving?

As of tonight, 247's overall RECRUITING + PORTAL team rankings.
A lot of interesting things in here I think. Oregon hanging on to the highest player average (92.42):
1. Texas (36 guys): 90.97 (20 four/five stars)
2. ND (35 guys): 92.16 (29 four/five stars)
3. Ohio State (39 guys): 91.25 (24 four/five stars)
4. USC (42 guys): 91.36 (25 four/five stars)
5. A&M (44 guys): 90.47 (28 four/five stars)
6. Oregon (28 guys): 92.42 (18 four/five stars)
7. Alabama (33 guys): 91.32 (16 four/five stars)
8. Tennessee (38 guys): 90.30 (17 four/five stars)
9. LSU (41 guys): 90.10 (21 four/five stars)
10. Georgia (38 guys): 90.79 (24 four/five stars)
17 out of the top 25 bringing in 35+ new players (North Carolina leading the way with 55, Oregon and BYU with the fewest at 28)
So far.

Re: Oregon Football - 2026 Transfer Portal
Thanks for the perspective. I think many Oregon fans were under the impression Oregon was being hit way higher by transfers than everyone else when that's not really the case. The rash of transfers is going to keep happening until they fix the calendar and change the portal and/or NIL rules.OrTDuck wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 9:38 pm As of tonight, 247's overall RECRUITING + PORTAL team rankings.

Re: Oregon Football - 2026 Transfer Portal
There's a huge flaw in combining portal rankings with recruit rankings. Unless the rating services are going to update their system to measure the expected impact of a player in their very first collegiate system - which would downgrade all of their ratings - then you're comparing impact this upcoming year to future impact (if they're still on the roster).
