Nice to see another strong outing by the pitching staff and clutch hitting by the offense.

Beautiful way to start a road series against what should be a strong Vandy squad.

Keudell is really good. Dunno what his fastball is clocked at but it seems to have good movement. Offense looked really good. Jones is a really clutch player. Freshmen looked really good too. Cant wait for todays game.

Had a skiff of snow in P-Hill this AM... It's 42 degrees and sunny, in Nashville, Tn, right now. Expected high should be around 50.
Sounds like a good day for the Ducks to soar!

Does anyone have a take on whether the Vandy starter was on a pitch count, did he have arm problems throwing so hard this early in the year, did the Coach want to get some early-season work in for some of his staff?
Okay - so now comes the Saturday pitcher - lhp Sam Selmen (0-1, 10.80) vs. Duck rhp Jake Reed (0-0, 1.50) - (as of a day or two ago).
Despite the collective rocky starts vs Stanford, to be considered among the Top-20, Vandy MUST have more than their "Friday Guy" going for them - very few top-tier teams - Ducks included - notice little drop-off in their top three arms.
I expect another well-pitched game into the 5th or so - the development of each teams' bullpen
may may trump early-season victory opportunities. (And don't go all 'EVERY win is important' on me.)
It would be nice to see our offense produce 6-7 runs against quality pitching.

1-0 vandy, top 2
reed is a little wild in the first, walks a couple, vandy gets a base hit to drive in a run. could have been worse.
