Unfortunately, considering Gildon hasn't been able to crack the projected two-deep depth chart, with a walk-on (Brian Butterfield) listed ahead of him, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if he moved on. Not long ago cornerback depth was a real strength. That was before Talmadge Jackson III and Chad Peppars were moved to safety to cover for the lack of safety depth, before Kenjon Barner started taking some reps at running back (although the defensive coaches are hopeful he will remain at corner) and before Cliff Harris became even more of a question mark. Now, corner depth has become a concern and that would be magnified even further if Gildon were to leave.

Recent Oregon commit Terrance Mitchell commented that the Oregon coaches told him they don't plan on redshirting him since they need corners and are rebuilding. Maybe the need for corners has become even greater than we realize.

Damn you beat me to it! That's good news about DT, but the Beaver fan who called the 3 transfers is hinting at Casey Matthews (or so it seems. He said it was someone who had family in the NFL). I think that would be a shocker if it actually happened since he's got the starting spot locked up. Of course then again he may just be blowing hot air but I just don't know...

I would say if somebody that had family in NFL be Walter Thurmond III but he is a senior I believe so that makes no sense. He was first one that came to mind. Can Mops or someboddy tell us for sure whether is another shocker coming and who it is so can stop speculating.

Bob Rickert is the only reliable person to come out with news of another pending transfer and he is saying that this will sting the least. So, my conclusion is that it's somebody buried on the depth chart or nobody at all. Stop listening to some Beev over on Olive.

Probably just Padilla

Padilla is a scholarship kicker, so if he is #3 on the depth chart after Spring, with a true freshman scholarship kicker coming in, I would imagine his post Spring talk with Chip may have resulted in a loss of Schollie for the Fall..... just a guess though.

No not at all! The guy on the other site who has called all the transfers is a Beaver fan.

Huh? Cliff Harris "a question mark?" Did I miss something while I was away?

Got news from a source that it isn't Padilla and that the vibe around the team right now seems to be that everyone is content and staying.

Cool... It's about time things settled down.

Tennessee is down how many guys (and still counting)?

Does anyone else wonder why ESPN has been running this story on their ticker for the last few days? We can't possibly be the only school in the country to have 3 guys transfer out (they only listed Roper, Pflu, and Harper).
