I wish they wouldn’t come out with recruiting rankings til signing day, and that players wouldn’t “commit” until signing day also. It could even be a multi-day signing period to extend the tv coverage for recruits to announce. It’s just becoming so common that recruits are committed to a school for so long until right before signing day, and more and more fans don’t care about these early commitments knowing there’s a good chance it won’t last. Just want committing to mean something and I’m afraid it’s gonna become less and less significant with kids flipping so much and the transfer portal.

It is hard to get to excited or disappointed about recruiting. It seems like 1/2 of the kids in each class decommit at the last minute, transfer, or never see the field.

I don't think he is. I think he'll be a fine college corner but chances of NFL are slim. Not as good of an athlete as other guys.

I agree! In fact my most of the UW pundits said the same when he committed to Oregon. It wasn't the "we don't want hims," it was the "I am not sure he is that good or that fast."

I am of the belief that you are better off getting these contributors from the portal. There is actually less risk!!!! Look at Gonzo, Nix, Rogers, Bucky etc.....

Build a base in recruiting preps. Build your studs in the portal.

I never said he'd been an NFL player.

I guess I just suppose that an elite Pac-12 player would be an NFL player. Sorry, didn't mean to put words in your mouth.

My reaction was partially because, the other week when I suspected this flip would happen, I re-watched Presley's tape and just didn't really see a highly rated player like I was expecting.

No worries, and his film looked good to me, but we'll see. Also, when I see schools like Bama, Michigan, USC, etc. offering the top player in Washington it catches my attention too.

At this point for the Ducks, there's never gonna be a short of talent for us to consume via HS, JC, or transfer portal. It's a new world.

It mostly sucks losing a recruiting battle to the huskies. If we flip Dylan Austin though this won’t even matter.

It had been a really nice 4-5 years of recruiting, where we were winning recruiting battles against every pac12 school and flipping their commits. But those teams have gotten alot better.

That’s funny, because there is a real possibility we flip a RB from ND and a DB from LSU. Let uw land one decent recruit
