I think we'll see a few transfers give Oregon a look now that Moore is returning.

Most the top few hundred transfers have picked their schools. Seaton is probably last big name on board for us. Hope Moore's decision influences him to come to Oregon.greenyellow wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 1:47 pm I think we'll see a few transfers give Oregon a look now that Moore is returning.
There's still a few DL's available and that is an obvious need for us. I hope to hear of some visits this weekend.UOducksTK1 wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 1:57 pmMost the top few hundred transfers have picked their schools. Seaton is probably last big name on board for us. He wasn't going to see the field until 2028 or 2029 so I can understand why he didn't want to wait that long.bellsduck wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 6:47 pmWtf?OregonFan4Life wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:35 pm Bryson Beaver has entered the portal, that didn’t last long.

Not even sure it’s worth recruiting HS QBs anymore.greenyellow wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:58 pm Beaver was on campus for two weeks and bounces once Dylan Raiola is added. Hard to blame him given Oregon's future QB succession plan. We're seeing how unimportant HS QB recruiting is now. The last QB to start a game at Oregon who was recruited out of HS is now Tyler Shough in 2020.
Teams still have to do it for depth purposes but those with larger NIL budgets can get their starting QBs from the portal easily.buckmarkduck wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 7:03 pmNot even sure it’s worth recruiting HS QBs anymore.greenyellow wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:58 pm Beaver was on campus for two weeks and bounces once Dylan Raiola is added. I think you still do just to have depth, in case of injury. Granted, it sucks because you'll likely never see them start, but you need at least 3 scholarship QBs to get through a season, and I can't imagine a lot of transfers coming in to be a 3rd string. Luckily, the Ducks have had pretty decent luck with QB health lately, but without 3 QBs, you're risking a scenario where you have walk-ons starting games with just 2 freak injuries (though I guess you could argue it only took 1 injury this year. hah). I might also still be scarred from the 2007 and 2008 seasons.buckmarkduck wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 7:03 pmNot even sure it’s worth recruiting HS QBs anymore.greenyellow wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:58 pm Beaver was on campus for two weeks and bounces once Dylan Raiola is added.
