This is a guy Ohio State, ND, TCU and A&M have all tried to flip. I can’t imagine they all wanted a noodle arm QB.

Simply stated, the ball just doesn't zip off his hand the way it does vs some of the league's best. There are no "frozen rope" type down field throws that I saw.

That said, he looks to purposefully throw a high arcing deep ball that has the benefit of letting a WR run underneath as well as being able to drop into the basket away from the DB's hands.

He looks like he's constantly resetting his feet through his progression reads which is good to see since he has ALL-DAY to throw. Some of the shorter passes I'd like to see more of that zip and a better trajectory but he looks capable of running an offense where he's surrounded by more talented play-makers. Being a Point-Guard at QB isn't a negative trait.

I haven't seen any of his SR highlights but you can certainly tell his throwing mechanics have changed just from his JR season ones to the Elite 11 ones. I imagine he'll keep changing as he gets better instruction/coaching. Plus, I'm sure getting in a college weight program will help a lot.

I too read he has an amazing work ethic and also wants to continue to improve so takes to coaching very well. Also some comments about him being a great teammate and leader. Hope all that comes to greater fruition in Eugene.

Not so sure- some rumors flying Bowens GF plays soccer at OU and that might be a major reason for all that is going on. Again it's a rumor.

Yea, this will impact Bowens about as much as the Kent State QB to UCLA affected Dante Moore.
