Hofmann steals 3rd, wild pitch brings him in. Other than the steal, that run was all SDSU mistakes. Altobelli with the 1st out. 2-1

Seems like every contact for Oregon so far ends up with it being a real soft grounder. Have to find some way to get the ball out of the infield.

Maybe the problem is they have batting practice instead of hitting practice.

Telfair with his first out, flyout to CF.
Reed with his 2nd K.
Hambright finishes the inning in order.

Healy got a piece of one but not enough to get out of reach for the LF.

Healy with one of those hits that make you think its gone. Flyout to Left-Center. 1 down.

Its seems clear now that we've got to get runners on to make Somsen throw out of the stretch. When we scored without a hit, Somsen went back to throwing in the windup.

Somsen does look a tad more uncomfortable with runners on but I'm not sure how much longer he'll be in here before Oregon has to adjust to another pitcher.

T7 now, still down 2-1. I know the 2nd run wasn't Reeds fault but its "short-hook" time and if anyone gets on, Horton shouldn't hesitate.

Well, he hasn't thrown many pitches either and another 2 innings of Somsen could make it hard for us. Of course, the more you see the more likely you are to come through, too.
