Oregon gets on the board first, 1-0, in the bottom of the 3rd as Karaviotis scores on Grebeck's infield single.

oh, man: i hesitate to even bring it up, because we still have to win three games, but our sister regional host (oklahoma state) just got eliminated. even if we win the springfield regional we'd need a bit of help, BUT it's not out of the realm of possibilities that we could host a super regional next week.

Game tied at 1 now entering B6 as Graham had 2 wild pitches and gave up a 4-pitch walk before a DP ended the inning.

Nogosek in now for Graham after he gives up leadoff walk to open T7. Tolman erases lead runner on a bunt attempt but Nogosek hits next batter and it's 2 on with 1 out.

Iowa gets a single but Craig-St. Louis cuts down the runner at the plate to get the 2nd out. Nogosek walks the next batter to load the bases but gets a strikeout to end the T7.

I'm a pretty fierce defender of hortonball, but I don't like sacrificing a runner to second and then attempting to steal third, like we just tried to do in the 7th. barring a bad throw, odds are you've just given up two outs with nothing to show for it. exceptions exist, of course, but iowa's catcher has an arm. not a good idea to test him.

Heckuva missed opportunity there. Iowa brought in a pitcher that gave Oregon problems on Friday and he did it again today.
