This program is going through a huge transition if you haven't noticed, New Coach, AD, UofO President, D-Line Coach, WR Coach, QB Coach/O Cordinator. I believe in this Duck program and believe that chip kelly, nick allotti, mike bellotti(AD) will do what it takes to steer this ship in the right direction... I also believe Masoli will figure himself out as well, yes I admit Masoli hasnt looked great this season but do you all honestly think we would have those two wins without him??? No chance... We have seen what he can do and is capable of and I trust he will work hard to figure out his path back to glory... GO DUCKS
Wow, an actual Duck fan from Sheridan...That amazes me...Mostly all Beavers in that neck of the woods..

They should make a drill that Masoli has to run everyday in which receivers run routes that require touch on the ball in order to have a completion. He can't leave until he completes 6 out of a set of 10.

Have something like running stairs but instead players have to run deep touch routes with a defender as a punishment. They have to do it until they get a completion. That should teach Masoli how to handle the pressure.

I do not like the idea of using Costa. It is never good to change a QB during the season. Also, I like having Costa there in case something happens to Masoli. I don't want Costa to get hurt after a couple of plays. He is better as a safety valve.

Joey Harrington came in roughly halfway through his Sophomore year and won every game he started the rest of the year.

Costa is of no use as a safety valve. Your logic is as ruinous as it is filled with holes.

Wasn't it just one? Or did I miss some?

I think only one went completely over Masoli's head, but there were snaps flying everywhere. It took every inch of Masoli to grab some of them.

I don't think that Costa would make it through a whole season. Why put him out there to ruin his knee when we can save him to use if Masoli has a minor injury. I would rather the team make a commit to Darren Thomas for the next three years rather than putting Costa in.

The important thing is that Oregon is 2-1. With that being said, they are going to have to find a way to get the passing game going if they want to have success the rest of this season.

I don't think there is anything wrong with saying Masoli should be pulled. If you are not getting the job done, it's time to give another guy a chance. I would love to see Darron Thomas too because I think he is our best QB but it would be nice to redshirt him, and Costa has given his all to this program. Give the kid a chance. Two years ago, MB even said we would not have lost the last three games of the season had Costa been healthy. That is really saying something. And who cares if he is rusty? He knows the offense better than anyone on the team and it cannot get worse. I bet he wouldn't throw every pass three feet behind receivers and he would probably complete more than 4 passes.

It also doesn't make us bad fans to want to see someone else given a chance. We all support and love the Oregon football program and invest our time and emotions in it and many of us invest money in it too. Second guessing never hurt anyone.

Let's see Costa!

I have seen much worse so to say it can't get worse is a stretch. We lost those 3 games due to 1) {Arizona}confussion & disbelief of Dixon going down, 2){UCLA} Brady Leif & Cody Kemp and 3){OSU} coaches/ clock management.
If you throw Costa at Cals D you might as well draw a target around his knee.

Um, Masoli had a great Spring game. And Costa didn't play. And the practices I went to, Masoli not only threw better, but looked faster. And I don't get why people think "it can't get any worse". Are you kidding? We could be 0-3.

Yeah, but only because A.J Feely got hurt. And Joey never let go of the starting spot.

I say start Masoli for the Cal game and if he struggles and doesn't execute what is the harm in rotating Costa in for a few plays to see if he can spark the offense, particularly the passing game.

So many are arguing that we should play costa ir Thomas

if we were playing Idaho maybe, but playing a qb with little
to no experience vs cal (one of the best teams in the country) guarantees a loss.

Masoli may not be doing well right now but we have a chance to win with him

if you think I'm wrong find me stats for inexperinced qb's playing their first
real d1 game vs a top 10 team and then we can argue

I'm glad that someone is thinking logically.
