Speaking of banged up.
I saw Sadiq get the “ass bruise” in his TD catch and I immediately thought of STU for trademarking that here on the board.
But then I too got butthurt because Stu was kind of a salty curmudgeon to me and a few other people in a different thread.

Pretty impressive showing from the offense and defense. Have to wonder what kind of numbers they could have up if they hadn't turned it over 3 times. Also, really wondering how Rutgers put up nearly 500 yards of offense against UW but barely had 200 against Oregon.

Really impressed by our DBs in this game. It helped that some of Rutgers' receivers got banged up, but our backfield still covered their tails off and made Rutgers' best unit look very average. The flip side is I didn't see any growth by the defensive line. The unit that struggled to get pressure on Mendoza didn't really get much pressure of Kaliakmanis.
On offense, Dante looked shakey to start but got a lot better after that first drive. We torched Rutgers because our skill talent is on a different level than what their defense can handle. Similar to the defense, I don't feel any better about the line play unfortunately.
Onto the next. Keep hoping for improvement.

Recorded the game and currently watching.
Someone needs to talk with Finney about his celebration antics. Second time this year I’ve seen something that very closely resembles a throat slash. That’s gonna get him a flag at some point…

The poodles are just an offensive team led by 3 guys so if you can stop 1 or 2 of them you'll keep possession and score. Jonah Coleman is the only 1 that scares me in any way.greenyellow wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 9:20 pm Pretty impressive showing from the offense and defense. I keep going back and forth on how our game with them will go. We stop the run well, but we also struggle with quarterbacks who can run. I think we'll have to spy Demond Williams but I'm not sure if Boettcher or any other linebacker can consistently bring him down when he gets out of the pocket. Hoping they can.Duck07 wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 9:43 amThe poodles are just an offensive team led by 3 guys so if you can stop 1 or 2 of them you'll keep possession and score. I think we'll be able to harass Demond like we did last year but we'll need to get into the 30s. It's the weather that could make that one toughStevensTechU wrote: Sun Oct 19, 2025 9:45 amI keep going back and forth on how our game with them will go. I have no worries about the Husky game. None.

The huskies are a one man band. Not overly worried about them. Their only other threat will be covered by Finney and Iffy, and I’ll take those two and our safeties over any WR UW trots out there.
