Jhop I couldn't have said it any better. Good Kid, Hard Worker, Great Character just read his
statement. Wanted to tell his teammates that he will miss them but is leaving for personal
reasons.

Re: Pflugrad to transfer
Interesting. Hadn't thought of that possibility. It does make a little more sense if his goal is to get into coaching somewhere. Still a big gamble since transfers are typically a contingency plan where others have had more time in the system. Seems like Oregon was still the place where he would get the most looks in D1.GrandpaDuck wrote:wheaton4prez wrote:Seems like a bad move on his part. Unless he has pro potential, which I dont think he does (and Oregon would be a good option for that anyway), what does he have to gain by leaving? Being on a team with better BCS chances? Better chance to start? More comraderie than he has already built with his Duck class? Better system for himself?
Doesn't make any sense, really.
The best theory I have heard from someone with some inside knowledge (therefore a 50/50 chance this is wrong). Pflugrad was told by Kelly that he would be a passing down back, not a starter because of his size for run blocking.
If this is the case, that his size and run blocking would preclude him from ever starting, than going to a school like Texas Tech where run blocking by wide receivers counts for squat is his best option. Though I doubt Pflugrad is dead set on the NFL, being a starting receiver at a D1 school is great on your resume to get into coaching.

Oh, that would be a sound move...Who knows, the Cougs may even win a game this next year.....Of course, leaving a quality program that could use and would have used his talents isnt exactly solid reasoning either...chump01284 wrote:so is he going to Wazzu for sure?
Lets just hope he does well wherever he does land...and more importantly, that he is able to get an education...
Pflu is going to need the education...I just dont see anything being available for him at the next level.....

Maybe the Oregon Ducks should care... Based on the spring scrimmages and game, Pflu seems to know how to beat the Duck D.duckfan96 wrote:who cares where he goes...best of luck to him
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

I meant to say I dont care where he goes...I wish he was still a duck. They did somethin to make him leave..so if he comes back and does somethin good for his team against Oregon..more power to him. Same with Rope. Gettin sick of people badmouthin the kid for transferring, when we dont know all the stuff that was goin on behind closed doors. And for those who say Oregon is stacked at wr...on paper yes...on the field well that is a unknown. Pflu wasnt a unknown

Re: Pflugrad to transfer
I seriously can't see Pflugrad breaking the rotation in the fall once we have guys like Holland, Maehl, Harper, and Davis recovered, then Jackson and Gaines coming in.duckfan96 wrote:I meant to say I dont care where he goes...I wish he was still a duck.
