I would rather be 2nd place up-and-comer in a 5-0 conference, than a 2nd place national punchline in a 1-6 conference

As a NY Jets fan (grew up there)...

someone needs to point out to tOSU fans that being in the NFL (thank you Mr. Vernon Gholston) and attending tOSU does not make you a good player

Really, that's a HUGE consideration. I mean, how good would Dixon have been his senior year, or Masoli have been last year without CK's coaching?

I still think that a lot of QB (and their moms who want a paycheck) are still a little turned off by our system. We need to show that a QB can come out of our system and have success in the NFL to alleviate those fears. Dixon being drafted certainly helped. It would help a lot more if he gets some PT though.

I think our system is going to start looking better and better as NFL teams start implementing versions of the Wild Hog (the NFL is a league of copycats)

What the bucknut fans forget to mention is that they had tight games against Purdue, Ohio, Troy, and Minnesota. They were losing to Ohio for almost the whole game. Ohio State fans are one of the most arrogant groups in college football.

Guy over on scout forum cut and paste a bucknuts post of a guy that says Boyd commit to the UO staff this week and the only way that will change is if Clemson can absolutely blow his doors off, likely resulting in Boyd announcing for us next week. BOOOYAH!!

Good news. I doubt Clemson will be able to sway him that much.

Just pray Clemson doesn't give him something to think about! How insane would it be to get Boyd and have him bring along Brown and Patterson?

How many Clemson qb's have gone on to play in the NFL? That should end the speculation right there.

Yeah jhop if that news is true and with his quote from the other day we are looking great for Boyd and for that matter BB...so now on the Patterson but it doesn't sound all the great for him...so far!

Im back with some great news. I just got a text a couple of hours ago that T Boyd has committed to OSU. Dont count on it being known to the public untill signing day. I havent been here in a while so I dont know what info you guys have now but you can "Bet The Farm" that this is how we will officially finish out this class

WR-Marlon Brown (I heard he met with Pryor and loved every bit of it)

those two may be the 100% locks as this class ends. but the other one I can 99.789% guarentee is we finish the class with either

OL Marcus Hall or DL Corey Adams possibly both(Im told it is possible this could happen depending on Jrs leaving,transfers or early enrollees

5* WR Marlon Brown is visiting Mississippi this weekend, Florida next, and Tennessee on the weekend of Jan. 31st.

4* OT Marcus Hall just got back from Michigan, and still has visits to Miami and Tennessee on the 23rd and 30th, respectively.

And Boyd? He is reportedly visiting Clemson this weeekend, along with 4* WR Kendall Kelly, and 3* S Corey Addison. By all reports, he is either dead even between Oregon and tOSU, or has the Ducks slightly ahead.

Sounds to me as if tOSU could easily whiff on all 4 of these guys.

Ya, those are some pretty impressive schools, hell, Tennessee would be a better choice than the *uckeyes. I wouldn't be surprised to see them start to drop some recruits. How do they keep getting kids even though they have a God-awful program in that God-awful conference? and why does history matter so much? was sweater-vest coaching while they won their last national titile/BCS game????? I'm pretty sure the answer is...no. I just don't get how some recruits are attracted to failure.
