The guy for Scout who does So Fl just doesn't know his stuff. There's some excellent links over on eDuck of comments from FSU guys. Grant attended a camp there last summer and they all raved about him and that's where he ran the 4.19, followed by a 4.2 & 4.3 (in succession).
Part of the problem for Grant is the team he played on this last fall had a bunch of studs in their backfield, Grant, despite his talent, wasn't a starter. He also missed 3-4 games due to injuries, so those are the reasons he only had 710 yds for the season.
Now comes the hard part as we watch team after team try and steal him after EG blows up at the camps. His family seems solid and they obviously love Oregon. Good luck to the other suitors because they're going to need it.

Where did you get the information that Florida offered him?
From a the FSU Scout article done on him. It says FSU, UF, us and some others had offered. Watching that video he is a great fit for our offense.
Yeah here it is:
http://floridastate.scout.com/2/797137.html
"UCLA, Florida, Florida State and West Virginia have offered me officially, and Oregon has offered me verbally" per scout (Grant's own words)
And that was back in October. Grant is a stud, no doubt.

If he has offers from Florida, UCLA, FSU, and Oregon... why the hell didn't he start at North Broward? I went to High School in Florida and I never thought NBP was anything special. If he has an offer from Florida, he's got to be a 4-star...

Wow, great commit.
Is he gonna be a 4* or a 5*?
Seems like he is super fast and is very elusive, maybe a Noel Devine type player.

Getting Ethan Grant is a monumental pick up for the Ducks. It opens the door to other kids in Florida as they know a fellow Florida boy is going there.
Here are some guys that could very well be Ducks when its all said an done.

Ivan McCartney- Has expressed a intrest in Oregon and is also cousins with Chad Johnson

Ted Meline-Compared to Ted Ginn JR, almost came out with Ethan Grant for an unofficial visit. Will visit in Spring/Summer

David Perry-A freak of nature DE that just started playing a few years ago and is said to be fast off the line

Peniel Jean-I have actually found out that Oregon is his favorite school and we are going to be hard to beat.

WOW!!! This is great news! Let the Florida floodgates open, so to speak. OPEN SESAME! Way to go Ethan Grant, what a stud committing this early in the game. Think of the credibility Oregon will have now, most recruits will feel compelled to at least give Oregon a look for 2010, because Oregon will be killing it on the field as well. 2010 could be an epic class. Can't wait for it.

Ya, looks like he hits really hard, could be a great CB to get for 2010. But Mops, what makes you think Oregon leads when according to Rivals Oregon isn't even on the radar yet?

From Pheonm's same site there is a story on McCartney and he lists us as his top two so far.
