Commit to running like we did in the the second half of the Iowa game (yes, because of conditions, opponent, injuries etc) and we're playing with fire.
Oklahoma has the best rush defense in the country. The only team to run for more than 100 yards against them was top 10 rushing offense Michigan. Against Michigan, the Trojans overloaded the box and held the Wolverines to 109 yards rushing and crushed them 31-13.
We have already seen how Northwestern was able to slow Oregon's rushing attack by loading the box and against Iowa when we went run only we gashed them for 286 yards on the ground but only scored 18. Wisconsin we ran for over 200 yards but only scored 24.
The history of the team this year is if we need to score 35+ to win a shoot out our top 5 in passing efficiency passing game needs to be a significant part of the game. (hopefully this game won't be a shoot out so none of this will matter).

What you're missing about the Iowa and Wisconsin games is that the bad weather had removed passing as an option. We HAD to commit to the run. And we still scored points and couldn't be stopped.
We can go run heavy now and then decapitate the defense if they try to load up.

I’m remembering some late game passing heroics to win an 18-16 game. Those 18 points were comprised of a safety, 3 FG’s, and a TD. That offense punted 4 times and turned the ball over once. I’m hoping Stein doesn’t remember the game differently. That’s a whole lot of stopping for a team who can’t be stopped. A team can be a paper tiger between the 20s, but finishing the drive when the opponent knows you’re running is a different animal.

Wilson out and World listed as questionable. What would the plan be at LT? Rogers? Bedford? Crader?

Right, and in good weather we can pound the rock with passing being a more viable option to keep defenses honest. We won that close game because we could pound the rock. That one big pass play was huge, but we didn't win because of one perfect pass, we won because we could run it when everyone knew the run was coming.

ESPN is reporting that neither Dakorien Moore nor Gary Bryant will play.
The chiefs have won for years with super star TE and average WR play. And SC can’t cover our te if we go 12 or even 13 personnel

That’s a bummer about Wilson. Seems like our increased efficiency in the run game was correlated to his increase in snaps.

Looks like Crader may get the start today at LT.

Sure wish RG3 was announcing this game. Not sure I can tolerate another episode of opponent deep throating. Might have to turn on the radio and turn on Jerry and Jorgy.

These old announcers are just longing for the good old days when teams like Oregon didn’t have a seat at the table.

I don’t know if it’s Tosh’s playcalling but somehow Oregon’s defense does not make plays on 3rd and 4th down.
