What a tremendous win for this program. Florida St should be a much tougher task.

Great win for the Ducks!

Great win for the Ducks!

I gave up listening to the play by play on the CBS online feed, and listened to Jerry Allen, while watching the game.

Bring on FSU!

The FSU game will be tough but we have Anderson pitching tomorrow so FSU's batters are going to see some tough pitching.

Nice to see the team win. Can someone explain how the postseason works in baseball? I'm guessing it must not be single game elimination if we were scheduled to play Florida St. I do know that the college world series is in Omaha

I think it's standard double elimination, with regional winners moving onto super-regionals.
Yep, it's double elimination. Then if we advance, we play a 3 game series against the winner of another double elimination group (at this point there are only 16 teams left). Then the winners go through double elimination again (8 teams at this point). And then the 2 winners of that go onto a 3 game series for the world series).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe the winners of the next round (best of 3 series)go to the world series, meaning that 8 teams total make it.

The 16 regional winners are matched up and play a 3 game series with the 8 winners advancing to super regionals.
