Yup. The fleeting glimpse of long blond hair to the left of BB is what I see as our biggest challenge. Visits are made, questions are asked, parents and "mentors" are consulted, "leaders" are stated...and it all goes out the window when a sweet little lady flutters by. I know. I've been there. Too many times.

What's her name? Lacey, or "Lace" to BB? Could she be the scumbag Kiffin's secret weapon?

This seems to be our BB thread for now, so here's an interesting article: http://blog.oregonlive.com/ducks/2009/0 ... dates.html

Jeremy Crabtree posted a tidbit on Rivals main board from his Brown family interview tonight. He said they told him that the main factor in BB's decision was his relationship with the RB coach & the strength & conditioning program. This could be any school from among LSU, UT & Oregon as all 3 have highly thought of RB coaches (esp LSU & UT) and facilities for the latter are great at all 3 as well. Don't see KSU in the mix from this statement.

The info re Harper being there, has anyone confirmed he'll actually be at the news conference site or just back home in KS to visit family?

Uh oh... BB tends to talk more about Kelly than Campbell. I don't like the sound of that.

Well that's bad news to me. Although Gary Campbell has done a lot, and has sent his share of RB's to the NFL, I don't remember BB ever mentioning him. He only talked about Chip Kelly.

If he goes to LSU, he can have fun with like 6 other running backs already there. If he goes to Tennessee, I'll have no respect for him because of Kiffin. We'll be good with our without Brown though. Also, those other schools have had mediocre rushing attacks compared to Oregon. We might hear one thing, but if he doesn't go to Oregon, the real reason will be because of distance and parents.

Considering the Ducks play the Vols in the '10 season, might be nice to get an outside SEC view of how our program is looked at and some mild trash talking leading up to that game would be fun aslong as its civil and based somewhat in reality. lol

At this point, unless your name is Bryce Brown, I dont think anyone can say for sure what he is going to do tomorrow. That said, in my opinion, if he goes to UT, it will be a serious waste of his talent since Kiffin has a long road to go to be able to get a back like Brown the numbers hes going to want come draft time. Just my opinion though.
That's an excellent point. I may come around and talk about the game some.
I asked this same question to the OK State people before the Holiday Bowl, but what is your guys' view on Oregon and the Pac-10 as a whole? Like do you think of us as the team with ugly uniforms? Or that the Pac-10 is USC and the nine dwarves or whatever? It was interesting hearing a Big 12 perspective, so an SEC one would be cool too
My personal opinion may not be the same as some other UT fans, but I think good football is played in the Pac-10 and I have never had a problem with Oregon. I've pulled for you guys in games before. Naturally being an SEC fan, I think it is the best conference top to bottom on a fairly consistent basis, but I wouldn't say it's by a large amount.

Wow, that sounds nothing like an Oregon choice, sounds like he's going to UT. Who freaking knows though. I've never felt this was a circus but these past few days, with all the UT visits, it really has become one. He definitely could have handle this whole thing a little bit better.

I just have to keep thinking to myself: Leguaratte Blount for this season, then James, Grant and more to come. It's just the fact that the #1 overall player is seriously considering Oregon. If it doesn't happen, I'll get over it though.

duckgrad is right I mean we were a top 10 without him and we would be one next year even without him. and honestly guys think about it guys with the exception of jstew how many of our good runningbacks were highly recruited. we actually seem to do as good without the hyped back as if we have one.

Our Offense is still dangerous without Brown. We pulled off average 42 point a game with out JStew. We can do it again this year, Chip Kelly will find a way to put points on board. We still have Masoli, Blout, Dickson, James also new comers Tunei, Diante Jackson, and Hopefully Gaines in our offense. Maybe our rushing game might drop few yards this year since we arent sure who #2 rb will take Blount spot after he move to #1 but hey Im pumped and cant wait for Spring game.

I know that it is prior to the Tenn visits, but I like him being at peace and being able to fall asleep when thinking about how everything feels right at oregon
