Re: Finish revised
So with Figgins out and Felix transferring we have two extra slots.

Re: Finish revised
Felix creates an extra scholarship, but he doesn't open up one of the 25 spots we have to sign recruits/transfers. We were going to have a hard time fitting in our expected 25 signees, since we don't have 25 graduates, Felix leaving helps in that regard. But the signing limit isn't affected. I think a few more will have to leave just to have enough scholarships for our signees.duck541 wrote:So with Figgins out and Felix transferring we have two extra slots.

Have to wait a while for these two:
Five-star prospect Kelee Ringo, the nation’s No. 1 cornerback, is set to announce his decision January 4 at the Adidas All-American Bowl and has the Ducks among his top contenders.
Dontae Manning, the nation’s No. 3 cornerback, is set to announce his commitment January 2 at the Under Armour All-American Game.

Who is recruiting our WR's? Is this all fallout from Arroyo flirting with UNLV?

It used to be called the US Army All-America Game, but Adidas took over the sponsorship.karlhungis wrote:Addidas has a bowl game now?
I read that Ringo will sign during the early period, and then announce it at the game.

Re: Kris Hutson also at risk of jumping?
As an analyst, Gill wasn't able to recruit. I'm not sure why his leaving would change anything, as the recruits wouldn't likely have a prior established relationship with him. It seems odd, but despite the rumors, nobody has actually decommitted yet. I do think WR isn't as in dire straights as before, and they can find replacements should they defect. Hopefully Hutson stays on board though.lukeyrid13 wrote:Probably has more to do with prentice gill leaving to ASUkarlhungis wrote:Who is recruiting our WR's? As mentioned, nobody has decommitted, but if kids are looking around it may have to do with shough being a relatively unknown at qb, while other schools like ASU have young quarterbacks that will only get better.

Re: Kris Hutson also at risk of jumping?
Even though Gill wasn't an on-field coach who could recruit on the road, he still had a number of recruiting contacts down in SoCal from his days at USC and really helped out on recruiting trips. He was tight with Devon Williams, which is a big reason Oregon was able to get its foot in the door for him again. WR recruiting may take a little hit with Gill gone and Arroyo likely leaving but nothing to be concerned with long-term.

OC Arroyo less likely to be leaving according to Football Scoop. LSU DC Dave Aranda is now emerged as a candidate for the job at UNLV.

Re: Kris Hutson also at risk of jumping?
I'd be really disappointed if this is true. Hutson is arguably the best WR talent on the west coast this season.
