Good for Jay Harris. Hope he makes the best of the opportunity.
It’s also a mutually beneficial situation. Harris isn’t currently a major prospect in the portal but if he even has a few big plays in tomorrow’s game, he will likely see his stock jump way up.

Exactly, it is in his best interest to stick around for playoffs. He'll likely be used in any situation we have early down goal line plays.dthomas=ddixon wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 7:51 am Good for Jay Harris. Hope he makes the best of the opportunity.

Assuming he doesn’t get injured it is best for all parties if he plays well

Seems almost no one in the media is picking Oregon to win besides those who cover the Ducks and maybe a handful of national writers. I'm sure Lanning will be using that as motivation for the team. Reminds me of how Kirby Smart would tell UGA that no one believes in them as a top-4 team.

I have a good feeling about this game. Not overconfident but I think Oregon comes out sharp. Oregon wins a close one 27-24 automaticus kicks with winning fg

Whittington is now on the injury report as questionable. :/
I'd love to think this is just Lanning playing games, but this doesn't strike me as something you'd mess with just for giggles. Damn it. I was growing more optimistic about this game, but if we're really just down to Hill and Harris then we'd better pile up a ton of points because we likely won't be winning any close games.

If you watch the interview he gave to local media this week, Noah mentioned how his son was sick and barely sleeping. It's likely he caught whatever his son has (flu?) and is feeling under the weather.

One thing I haven’t heard anyone talking about is growth at least as far as how young Oregon is. These teams are not the same from the first game, both have grown with time and experience compared to when they first played. The difference is each team's ceiling. Oregons is much higher because of talent, youth and inexperience, they say your biggest growth is between your first year and second. Indianas is lower because of being older, limited growth, they have done most of it being 4th and 5th yr players plus overall talent athleticism. Not sure if I’m reaching or if it’s a valid point. Regardless I’ve got the Duck’s 27-23.

I've seen only one media member mention this. While Indiana has gotten better as well, I think Oregon's young guys and transfers have probably had much more growth over the season. We'll see if that added experience for Oregon is enough to match Indiana's.rsbgduck wrote: Thu Jan 08, 2026 7:19 pm One thing I haven’t heard anyone talking about is growth at least as far as how young Oregon is. If Whittington is sick then you definitely don't want him around the rest of the team right now. Imagine the whole team getting sick in 2 weeks or whenever the championship game is. But damn.

Hopefully the team took flu shots this year.

If Whittington is sick and does not play, that means we have only two backs, neither of whom are starters. One is number three and the other is in the portal. ugh.
