Reinstated just in time for spring football.

University of Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount has been reinstated to the Ducks’ football program for the start of spring practice, according to first-year head coach Chip Kelly.

Last year’s record-setting running back was suspended from the program on Feb. 10 for what the school’s former football coach Mike Bellotti termed “as a failure to fulfill team obligations.”

The senior-to-be finished last season as the team’s second-leading rusher with 1.002 yards, and broke the school’s single-season record for rushing touchdowns with 17.

Oregon is scheduled to open spring drills at 8:45 a.m. Monday (March 30).

Welcome back... Now let's move on to the nitty-gritty, like figuring out how to run over, under, around, and through BSU's D! Image

Figured it would happen before spring ball starts, but it's still good news!

good stuff. definitely gives me a sense of relief even though it was well known that he'd probably be back.

I feel for you, brich75... I had a hybrid 11 hour shift that I think may be the only thing I've ever done that was worse than a true graveyard... Started at 4, got off at 3 AM. Usually, it ran 6 days a week.

My boss did it to avoid hiring enough qualified people to do the work in a normal time frame... He thought he was saving money, in spite of paying every man Jack in the production department 26 hours at time and a half per week! He ran that for 6 years...

And people think slavery is dead in the US.

What a shocker! Blount gets re-instated a few days before spring practice. I sure never saw that one coming

You guys should take a look at the beaver comments on the Oregonian's Blount reinstatement article. It's pathetic. They say "typical Oregon" and "shows a lot of class". One guy thinks he should be suspended until at least September.

Wishful thinking on the BeavEaterz part... If you had to face LGB on Saturday, wouldn't you grasp any perceived advantage?

Yet they say nothing about the OSU player who only was suspended for a game that was shooting off a gun out of a car window in Corvallis, could have killed someone, nice punishment Riley.

OS fans are downright scared of Oregon right now. It shows all over their faces.

I'm close friends with some die-hard beevs & yeah....they are freaking terrified. It started a few years ago too. After the 2007 CW, when we had all the injuries, they tried so hard to convince themselves that their win was legit & our injuries didn't make a difference. My beevur fan friends were constantly trying to justify that win to me. But really they were just trying to convince themselves. This past CW just cemented what they feared & now their absolute denial & dellusion is hilarious. I almost feel bad for them at times.
