Found this website listed on the 1 click Ducks page. It has some good stats about the Pac 10 over the last 4 years. Interesting reading. Sorry if it has been posted and I missed it.

How about Oregon #1 in offense the last 3 years now if only NA and the defense can step it up #2 in 05 and 06 but #6 and #7 the last two years. Oregon's defense is the one thing holding them back from being a Rose Bowl and NC contender.

Bingo, and I think that's why a lot of us are so hard on Allioti.

If anything that site shows the strain that is put on the Oregon D. 05 and 06 the D was great, but as soon as Kelly came, the defense fell to 6 or 7. The defense is lagging behind because it wasn't build to be on the field an extra 10-15 minutes a game. This season the D should be a little faster and more prepared.

Thanks Legion, that is the point I was trying to make when I posted the link. I really think that yards per game is a terrible metric for determining who is a good defense. I really don't think that Aliotti is a great coordinator, but I think that he gets a bum rap on most of the websites.

Exactly, he may not be the best D-coordinator but he's a lot better than people seem to think.
