Just great. Wasn't he on the cover of the Oregon magazine? TK was right about the jinx.

Dang. While this isn't good, I doubt it stops him from being here for fall. I'm sure it will all be resolved.

This isn't good. But I'm gonna hold off til we hear more on this. Remember the Dewitt Stuckey situation last year? Hopefully this gets resolved like that did.

If they charge him with assaulting an officer, we're dicked. We'll see, but this sucks.

The only colors I know that have been banned for sure in Fresno/Stockton area High Schools are red and blue...

Maybe he was wearing a Cal or Stanford hat?

Without more information, anything we say here is pure speculation...

I can recall a couple of Duck athletes who were booked into the Lane County Adult Corrections unit (re: JAIL...) who never spent a full night there, in spite of being booked for assault and/or disorderly conduct.

It could be that this may never go to court.

Who knows. That video wasn't working for me, I don't know why. This could be a serious issue, but it also might not be that big of a deal, like Stuckey last year. You can get assaulting a police officer for bumping into them, if they feel like a dick that day.

I am not passing judgement on this situation but will say something in general. Maybe its cause I have always done things by the law and do noy cause any problems but to me this sounds sooooo completely stupid of the kid. He has a full ride scholarship at a division 1 program why even put self in the situation to where would cause problem. If the officer was wrong take it up with his boss or whatever. Pure stupidity to put self in that situation where he could file charges against you. We see it to many time where pro athletes put themselves in bad situations. Granted this kid is not a pro.. but should stay clear of bad situations.

First of all, this is sucky, sucky news.

Second, CH should be smart enough to not let himself get arrested.

Finally, Cops are power hungry control freaks and arresting a kid for not wanting to turn over his personal property is ridiculous. I would feel violated if some cop came up to me and tried to take off an article of my clothing too, it's natural instincts to defend yourself.

I went to the Oregon/Michigan game in Ann Arbor, i was crossing a parking lot to avoid these sheriffs that were directing incoming traffic into the parking lot (because i was in a hurry, don't worry, i had had no alcohol). A short marine sergant looking sheriff barked at me telling me to halt in the middle of the street. I pretended I didn't hear him and kept walking (i was hungry for a hotdog). He ran up to me and forcefully grabbed my arm and tried to pull me back across the street. Now, I'm a power lifter and had about 4 inches on this A-hole, my natural instincts were offended by being physically grabbed, so I reacted by pulling my arm out of his grasp. Then, all these sheriffs started sprinting towards me, hands on the hilts of their night-sticks. I thought, 'oh, great, I'm going to get Rodney-Kinged for a hot dog'... So, I complied and walked back to the other side of the street and went through the traffic at the direction of the sheriffs. It's unbelievable the amount of power police have and how they can abuse it to violate your rights. This drill sergant sheriff started calling me names, like 'you're a little punk', and, 'it's my responsibility for your safety' after I complied. It was actually more dangerous for him to make me stop in the middle of the parking lot than to just let me proceed!!! Stupid cops.

P.S. - I've never been treated like that or even seen behavior like that anywhere at Autzen Stadium. Must be a mid-west thing. However, there are power hungry control freaks everywhere, not just wearing 'Blue' either.

Rant over...

I bet if your getting your ass kicked somewhere you would be the first person to call the "power hungry control freaks." sounds to me like cliff harris is the idiot. He got in a physical altercation over a hat.I bet he was asked several times to remove it. He probably also new he wasn't supposed to where it in the first place.
As for being rodney kinged that ass hole should have got more than what he did. he was doing a 120mph high on pcp AND RESISTING ARREST!!!
Maybe I have a jaded point of view because im around the very worst people you could imagine every day, but the next time you want to call a cop a power hungy control freak. come to work with me and see what the cops protect you from.

Agree 100%. People have no idea what police officers deal with day in day out...

give me a break.

cops are a complete joke. at least where i live.

when i go out to the store or something late at night, i'm more afraid of the cops than i am any sort of criminal.

at least the criminals assume i'm innocent.

eff the police. they are completely and utterly useless a-holes.
