That's Fresno Mike, he is definitely in the know, especially when it comes to Northern Cali kids.

Re: A bit more on Cliff Harris
"His younger brother was wearing a baseball cap…not allowed on campus…rookie security cop busts him for it…Woo finds out and comes to his defense…things escalate in the heat of the moment and regular police called and they pepper spray and cuff both of them…arrested and sent to jail…sounds like the rookie security cop overreacted at first but you have to do what someone like that says…bad judgement on Woo’s part obviously…sometimes happens with 18 year olds…I’m told things will work out.
My youngest daughter (senior at Edison and has the same American Gov't class with Woo) says that the students who witnessed it say that the rookie security officer over-reacted and made it a much worse situation than it should have been…lots of anger on campus over how it was handled."
I haven't really been worried about this. After the Stuckey situation last year, which was way worse when the news first came out, something like this isn't that big of a deal & very likely to be worked out.

Pepper spraying a kids over a hat...just brilliant! Sounds like a major over-reaction on ALL parties but not enough for charges to anyone!
Young men, boys and rookie cops, have big egos and make bad choices...they all need to learn the lesson of "picking your battles wisely" because not every battle is winnable!
This will blow over...
GO DUCKS!!

Wow, just one more reason for me to live in Oregon and not Cali.

Sounds like the officer did what he had to do. You can't have kids pushing cops around and expect to be able to enforce anything at a school.
That said, what is of greater concern to me is the severity of the charges. Those seem excessive to me. Felony charge, $20k(+?) in bail, holding him in jail rather than letting him see a judge and leave... That's a bit much for what happened, imo. Hopefully, it's supposed to be some kind of "lesson" and they intend on reducing the charges.

On a side note, it appears that many posters on wildwestsports.com are major racists. Just read the comments in that thread...maxduck wrote:Found this on another board. The person posting in a Notre Dame and Oregon fan who is usually level headed and accurate.
