Word on the street is that the NCAA will make it's decision regarding Oregon's punishment public in 2-4 weeks. If this is true, hallelujah. Let's move on already....

Also bowl ban isn't even a question, it was never even on the table.

Uodux-a decision in 2-4 weeks is logical. The COI has 45-60 days after a hearing to respond and the hearing is rumored to have taken place on 4\19. Lots of rumors flying right now but no one knows for sure. The NCAA is likely very tight lipped after the Miami debacle.

I pray you're right, but I'm not going to take anything this. I've been disappointed enough with Oregon sports by believing rumors.

I don't know anything about the veracity of his sources, but Dale Newton of theduckstopshere is reporting that we are getting probation for five years, miss zero bowl games, have zero wins vacated, lose 1 or 2 scholarships per year for three years-and basically get our wrists slapped. Hope this is true.

I am not sure who Dale Newton is but boy he certainly must have some good sources.

Anyone notice some flaws in his story????? Uhm, the Rogers Brothers are not twins, James is older than Jacquiz? LMJ's mother is alive and while its true she gave him to his grandmother when he was three weeks old she is very much alive. Also LMJ's father was shot before he was born so LMJ actually never knew his father. Did anyone else find it a little odd in a story about NCAA investigations and violations he mentions that LMJ and the Rogers brothers used to go out to dinner together and he then implies they got the dinners for free or at a very reduced rate which would in fact be an NCAA violation? My question there is how does Dale Newton know?????? I think I would have more respect for this guy if he kept his mouth shut. If in fact he knows something (which I am somewhat skeptical of ) he should keep it confidential till it is announced by an official source.

I have read some other things by this guy in the past but this one is not his best effort. I understand a little poetic license but not at the expense of LMJ or the university.

Any update on this? I haven't heard anything in awhile.
