It is pretty amazing to see two NW schools being that highly ranked. Oregon and OSU have great managers and baseball in Oregon is elite.

Is the High School talent in Oregon for Baseball, significantly better than it is for Basketball or Baseball?

A guy i went to school with was just drafted #10 overall and he wasn't even the best pitcher on our roster - wasn't even a starter till his senior year. Southern oregon baseball is stacked.. I know that ^^^

southern oregon and portland always pump kids to the next level, and the eugene/springfield area is usually good for a few each year.

baseball recruiting is a little different because many of the top kids in california would willingly opt to play for fullerton or irvine or, in many cases, fresno or pepperide or san diego state or (insert california state college with nice weather here) before coming to one of the four pac-12 northwest schools. you rarely see that in football, or even basketball, but established programs like fullerton/irvine and the weather down in california makes for an odd balance in baseball recruiting. to answer your question oregon high school baseball is (i'd say) akin to oregon high school basketball, which is to say it's probably better than it should be given the size of the state. i've never thought much of oregon prep football, but we have surprisingly stout hoops and baseball recruiting beds in-state.
