If the rest of the conferences aren't going to change, then apparently Pac-10 coaches are willing to stoop to their level.

well luckily this is not final, and towards the end of the article they mentioned it is not going to be an easy task to change round robin scheduling. so we still have hope there.

Double edge sword... on one hand it'd be nice to get one more W each season, but on the other I dont want to claim a conference championship without beating USC or Cal (or whoever the top teams are at that point).

A few years ago we went 2 (?!?) seasons without playing SC. Weird. And remember when we played WSU 6 of 7 in Pullman?!?

Of course, if the PAC-10 goes to a 2 division season, with a playoff, the North Division Champ would almost be guaranteed to need to play USC or Cal in a conference championship game most years to have a shot... I like the round Robin, myself.

This has been talked about before but I would like to see a couple of teams added to make it the PAC-12 and have two six team divisions the North (Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Cal and probably Boise State although they are only good at football so maybe they could join in just football) and the South (USC, UCLA, Stanford, Arizona State, Arizona and Utah who is good at basketball and pretty good at baseball too. Since the SEC and Big 12 are talked about most because they play a championship the PAC should do the same to get some respect and Utah and Boise State would be happy to join I am sure.

If they had a PAC-12 there is no way they separate rivals Stanford and Cal to separate divisions. It'd be more like this
North:
Wazzu
UW
Oregon
ORegon State
Utah
Boise

South:
USC
UCLA
Stanford
Cal
ASU
Arizona

Cal and Stanford could still play each other, teams from the Big 12 and SEC play regular season conference games against teams in the other division

Potentially playing USC twice in one season would be tough! Possibly even twice on the "road" (the P10 CG would be in LA for sure)! I dont think we have to worry about anything like this happening anytime soon, the P10 cant even figure out a good TV or Bowl deal, so why would we think they could pull of something this huge?!? Hahaha..
