Top 5 PGs

Gary Payton C+ C+ B+ A- D+ A

Probably the best player to ever have come out of the University of Oregon State Beibers, Beavers. Very polished defender. A nightmare on ball defender, no passing lane is safe. Good passer, but does struggle to hold the ball from time to time. Good strength for a quick guard, he is good at getting off his jump shot against taller guards, given those are few. Has good form on his shot, but really doesn't seem to range in his deep shots very well from beyond the free throw line extended. Scouts drool over his potential.

Bo Kimble C+ C+ B C D+ A

Prolific scorer from the Loyola-Marymount school of frenetic offense. Seems to always be above the rim. Blew the shuttle time away at the combine, scouts rarely have seen such change of direction skills. Very good at passing the ball, but his brain occasionally took a quater off. Talented defender that uses his length to defend the parameter very well.

Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf B- B C D+ D B

Born Chris Wayne Jackson, he very recently changed his name to Mahmoud after converting to Islam freshman year of College. Loves to take the ball to the rack and has a set of tricky moves to finish against much much taller players. Good outside shot, but can be very streaky at times. Left Louisiana State the day that O'Neal was announced to be unable to attend LSU, so his maturity to lead a team has come into question.

Steven Henson C A- C+ C+ D B A

Maybe the most polished shooter in this class. Scouts drooled over him at the combine with his quick release. Rarely turned over the ball at Kansas State but didn't pass nearly as much as he probably should have. Good defender, and moves really well, keeping up with players much quicker than he with excellent footwork. Did not perform very well in the bench press at the combine. Scouts compare him very favorably to B.J. Armstrong.

Bimbo Coles B C B C+ C- B

Next to Payton, one of the most polished and well rounded point guards in the class. Scouts believe that he may be playing closer to his peak than Payton, even still, he is a very NBA ready point guard. Good passer coupled with very few turnover issues. Excellent measurables, performed the best of any guards in the strength drills and performed very well in the shuttle and sprinting drills. Plays the passing lanes very well and always keeps his hand up, closing out and playing the parameter very well.

Other Point Guard prospects:

Trevor Colliton C B+ B C+ D+ A

Epic Jump shot, the league hasn't seen such a clean release from the mid range game since Pistol Pete. Scouts like his potential and has the foundation to build around.

Dee Brown C+ B C+ C D+ A

Very balanced prospect that looked good when the scouts we out to scout him, good shooter, however his competition at Jacksonville State gives scouts pause.

Travis Mays C B+ C+ C D B

Very good looking outside shot. Probably more of a role player to 6th man, but should perform well in outside systems.

Kevin Pritchard C C C+ C D+ A

Intangibles are off the charts. Has an extremely skilled tactical mind and plays the game in the right way.If he can develop his skills to match his mind should make an excellent pro.

Rumeal Robinson C+ C- C C D+ A

Good potential.
