Celotto to Nevada, perhaps

He wants to pursue a NFL career. He call CK to get back on the team and was denied a scholarship. What gives? I thought they offered him the ability to skip spring and still come and play in fall? Does the coaching staff not want him? It's interesting to say the least.

It sounds like he isn't eligible for some reason. But, even if he was, I'm not sure they should take him back. It would set a bad precedent for other players potentially taking the summer off.
I feel bad for the guy. He made a really bad decision. But, it doesn't seem possible that that wasn't presented to him in detail before he made his own choice. Somebody at some point had to ask him, "are you sure that you want to give this up to become a cop?" Now, he has to take responsibility for that waffle.

Tough situation for him to be in. The ducks could have used him too.
Nevada, however, isn't a bad alternative. Wish him the best.

Wonder if his missing the term has made his grades slip to a level that we can't afford to chance him coming back and either quitting again or failing to make grades for APR purposes.

To me it sounds like he wants to play football again because he wants to get paid, not because he feels bad for quiting on his team.

If you haven't seen it, check Moseley's blog, where Celotto himself weighs in on the matter. Always good to hear it from the horse's mouth.

I'm shocked by this news...but like a few have mentioned how can you trust a guy that leaves and then changes his mind.
Good luck Tony we could have really used you!
