Guess who is back?

Not sure if anyone has seen this but here it is..
Do you remember Brian Butler? He was a mentor/advisor to Bryce Brown, the nation's No. 1 recruit, but Butler had sort of faded into the background since Brown signed with Tennessee in March.
Lo and behold, Butler was in the news again last week when he served as an unofficial spokesman for two Kansas natives who are transferring. Chris Harper is leaving Oregon and Brodrick Smith is leaving Minnesota, and the Topeka (Kan.) Capital-Journal quoted Butler as saying, "I've talked to both of them. Basically, they're trying to get closer to home. K-State is an option for both of them, a very serious option."
Welcome back onto the scene, Brian.

Hadn't seen it, but was their ever a doubt. Butler has been at the forefront of getting Harper back to K-State the WHOLE time. Including phone calls etc. Bet $$$ Butler is on K-state's payroll somewhere.

K State has gotten Beasley, Harper, and damn near Brown. A mediocre school in Kansas shouldn't be getting that kind of talent unless something crooked is going on (or their coach is just god's gift to recruiting).

Probably getting paid by a booster. I think Butler was looking for Nike money when he shopped Bryce Brown to the Ducks. By all appearances Butler is a dirtbag, and I hope he gets busted soon.

True to an extent. Snyder's pulled in some talent there over the years (Eli Roberson, Darren Sproles, Michael Bishop, etc), so it's not that ridiculous. But whenever the mentor gets involved it's never good.

I wrote that back in May looks like I was ahead of the game thinking things were smelling funny

I hope we destroy every team we play, but something in side of me hopes that we annihilate K.State when we play them in Mannhattan, KS. I'm usually a little more understanding and sympathetic towards recruits that transfer for lack of playing time, homesick, etc. But something about this Harper transfer just doesn't seem right and it hasn't seemed right ever since that K. State Reporter came out to Eugene to interview Harper. Now I know Harper is just a kid, but I think it was handled the wrong way and now that that world class bum Butler has gotten involved (Eventhough I think he's been involved this whole time) and is bringing another kid back to K.State as well, really makes this whole thing look suspicious. It's a shame these kids and their parents can't see Butler for what he is.

I wish Harper well at K-State.
But, do they really think that they are set to turn around the program there because Harper will be the QB?

Some of their fans do.... That's basically what I was trying to tell them but whatever they'll find out themselves later on...

Soon enough Brian Butler will be exposed for what he has been up to. I just hope that it doesn't ruin the athletes potential careers in the process. He appears to be a complete slime ball. If he really wants to be a spokes person for any of these athletes he should go to law school and wait for them to graduate college. In the mean time he is just making himself look foolish.

Unless KState switches to a double wing T wishbone offense, Harper won't be effective for them. He simply doesn't have a division 1 arm. I wish to God that he did, but unfortunately we saw all too often that he couldn't throw at the minimum level required to play in the Pac-10. It will be interesting to see what happens to him over there. Will he go in the tank like he did here if he isn't the starting QB? Only time will tell I guess.
