Another Recruiting violation by Kiffin...apparently he needs to read the rulebook
the best part is the violation comes, during the portion right after when they talk about the him not wanting to commit violations. @ 7:26 he says we're going to look at everything that could be a violation....and at 7:35, he is committing another violation...wow. Hopefully the Recruits he ends up trying to snag from us see the pattern here.

Pretty strong statement from the Raiders, there:

"Lane Kiffin is a flat-out liar. He lied to the team, he lied to the fans, and he lied to the media," the Raiders' statement said. "He will try to destroy that university like he tried to destroy the Raiders, and will eventually clash with [women's basketball coach Pat] Summitt and [men's basketball coach Bruce] Pearl."

Wow!

I like how they had to go to his wife to find someone not working for him or not hiring him to say that he is smart. :)

Seriously. Just listening to the guy talk, I wouldn't hire him, let alone work for him. It's beyond me how anyone takes the guy seriously, especially with something substantial like a football career.

And how many minor violations does a program have to make before it becomes apparent that the program doesn't have control of the situation as is being investigated at USC?

The NCAA will not do anything. These are just minor violations. Yes there has been 6 of them and just what has the NCAA done. Nothing. The worst part is the message it sends is as long as minor violations are happening nothing will be done. You would think the cumulative effect of them all would warrant some kind of reaction from the NCAA but it seems because it is a storied program and is in the SEC then NCAA looks the other way. Are schools like Tennessee.. Texas... Michigan.. USC... Florida..Ohio State... Florida that can do no wrong. Lest we forget Oklahoma as well. If it was Oregon.. or someone else with not a big draw.. then they would probably sanction the ducks or whoever else but not one of the big boys.

I don't know about you but I tend to nod and agree with what she says. Hate Lane all you want (and I do as much as the next guy) but his wife...... :)

What it shows though, is a pattern of disregard for the rules, and a lack of character and integrity. It is only a matter of time before he cooks his and Tennessee's goose like Neweasel did at Colorado and Washington.

Don't you know that rules and decorum don't apply to the beautiful people?

Mirror mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? "You are Lane". I know, just wanted to hear it one more time mirror.

My friends and I are planning on hitting the Tennessee game in a few years, and now I'm looking forward to it even more.

Do you think the auto-text in many college writers' Word document sees "Tennessee" and automatically puts in "Tennessee being investigated for a minor violation"?

It does amaze me that they could have so many violations and nothing happens. What's the point of having the rules?

The point is to keep the non big revenue schools in check. The big revenue schools that mentioned above bring in too much money to the NCAA so they look the other way. You can bet if it was Oregon... Washington State.. Middle Tennessee State... NW ohio columbus State or whoever they get sanctioned. It would be nice if was fair playing field... but it simply is not. I agree the message it sends is a pitiful one but this is the NCAA and they only care bout the money.
