3. Oregon: “Mighty Oregon”
Maves: I don’t know much about the history of this one, but it was written sometime in the late 19-teens. The original version of it had a direct copy of Yale’s “Down The Field” followed by “Mighty Oregon,” all in the same song. They don’t play the Yale ripoff anymore.

10. Washington: “Bow Down to Washington”
Maves: This thing is horrid, with neither rhythm nor timing nor anything to recommend it. It’s unsingable and barely playable.
^^^

I agree, "Bow Down to Washington" is an abomination.

Also, the Ducks do still sing their version of Yale's "Down The Field" when they sing the fight song in the locker room following victories. It is the second verse they sing...

I've always thought there was an unwritten rule not to bow down to huskies...kinda like don't drop the soap.

Doesn't our D-line kind of bow down until the ball is snapped, then rise up & blow them up?

Bow Down sounds like a song you hear while on a ride at Disneyland.

Just listened to Bow down to Washington. It feels like I'm listening to a chitty chitty bang bang song or something, ew.
