back-to-back quality starts by irvin, which is nice to see.
not much to say about last night. both teams blew a lot of opportunities, but for once oregon blew fewer than the opposition.
last I heard harber *might* start today, but he'll be a game time decision. but perhaps that's old news.

Oregon State handed that game to us on a platter. Were not all our run unearned?
Moore pitched fantastic, but his team didn't back him up enough. But hey! A win is a win, and the Ducks needed this. It'd be great if we could win the series.

Ducks lose 4-2. This team is awful. I know we have pitching injuries but we are a awful offensive team and horton ball doesn't work because we don't have good enough players to do it

Oregon looks like they've already imploded in the 3rd inning. Had it tied at 3 but gave up 6 runs on 3 hits, a HBP, a sac bunt, a wild pitch, and a passed ball. Pitching and defense is just god awful this season and the hitting is not far behind. I'm not sure what Horton saw this fall that made him think this team was one of the most talented he's had.

Well, Oregon just made OSU bring in 2 relief pitchers in the bottom of the 3rd by getting 3 consecutive hits to start the inning, culminating in a 2-run HR by Cuddy. It's now only 9-6 OSU. This could be a really high scoring game as both teams dip into their bullpens so early in the game.

Nice job by Oregon's bullpen to not give up another run in the game and they finally got some timely hitting. Best thing is Oregon finally gets a series win.

surprisingly effective relief pitching this weekend. cleavinger, nogosek, graham, and even stiles were all effective. good thing, since peterson and harber were no-shows!
i was beginning to think oregon couldn't score 10 runs in a 9-inning t-ball game. that was a hell of a comeback. beaver fans have to be livid.
