3. California 9-3
4. Oregon State 8-4 (9-3)
5. Stanford 7-5
6. Arizona 6-6

I don't get why ASU is so high..

Sorry TK, I have to disagree. While everyone seems to still think USC is the be all end all of the Pac 10, I do not. Yes they reload not rebuild. Yes they have one of the best recruiting classes year in and year out. Yes they have Pete Carroll, Snoop Dog, and Will Farrel. The Ducks have CK, Masoli, and Blount! This is the year USC goes down like a cheerleader on prom night! Either Cal or Oregon, one of them is going to make USC thier biotch.

1. Oregon
2. USC
3. Oregon State
3. Cal
5. Stanford
6. Arizona
7. ASU
8. Washington
9. UCLA
10. Washington State

They will have a lot of seniors and Erickson is a good coach.

I don't get why everyone thinks Stanford is going to be good this year. Yes. They have been improving at recruiting recently. But their recruiting classes were ranked #51 in 2007 and #50 in 2008. The good players they've gained are freshmen.

I Think the reason that so many people think Stanford could be good this year is that a team that went 5-7 last year lost something like 4 games by seven points or less.. So with alot of returners back, with that expierence... they could be good... I think this could be a good year for Stanford...

I think that Stanford makes a bowl game this year with all of the returning starters they had, plus the players they've gotten the past couple of recruiting classes. I don't think though that they'll sneak up on anyone since people know how dangerous they are and will be properly prepared for them.

Anyone else gonna post their predictions?

It's always fun to come look back to see who was right/wrong.

Well here's my prediction:
1. USC
2. Oregon
3. California
4. Oregon State
5. Stanford
6. Arizona
7. Arizona State
8. UCLA
9. Washington
10. Washington State

I don't think we can put anyone above SC until another team actually wins the Pac10. That said, the chances of them being knocked off this year are pretty good, or at least much better than they have been in past years. Either us or Cal will do it with us both playing them at home & being quite a bit better than the rest of the teams. Our game against Cal could very well determine the Pac10 Champ.

I think Us, SC, & Cal will separate themselves from the rest of the pack with OS & Furd fighting for a distant 4th. The talent of the top 3 is quite a bit above the rest of the teams, IMO.

I think you can and SHOULD put another team above USC IF you really believe they will end up that way. That is what this poll is about: How the conference will END after the games are played. Just because USC hasn't not won the title for a while doesn't mean they will continue to win it like they are in a vacuum.

If USC looks vulnerable this year to you, then step up and make your prediction to what you think will happen, not what maybe could happen and it's the safe guess so you don't look bad at the end of the season and who could blame you 'cause it's USC and they always win it.

Here's my picks:

1. Oregon 12-0 or 11-1.
2. USC 11-1 or 11-2.
3. Oregon State 9-3.
4. Cal 9-3.
5. Stanford 8-4.
6. Arizona 7-5 or 6-6.
7. Washington 4-8 or 5-7.
8. UCLA 5-7.
9. ASU 5-7 or 4-8.
10. WSU 1-11 or 2-10.

Not sure if those numbers add up right to actually happen, but that is how I see the Pac 10 order and approximate regular season w/l.

Do you live in Seattle, haha? I just don't see Washington finishing 7th in the Pac-10. They seem bound to finish last or second last in the Pac-10 IMO.

Anything is possible. But, it was only 3 games that they lost by seven points or less. And they got blown out 4 times.

I don't think they will improve this year. But, after, they have some great looking classes showing up.

1. Oregon (My nickname is wheaton4prez)
2. USC (Carroll is a great recruiter. Not as much vision as a signal caller and scheme designer. Can’t carry the weight of the coaching changes and inexperience of team this year.)
3. Cal (Will play really well at times. However, Riley = turnovers. Turnovers = loss column.)
4. ASU (Experienced class gives Erickson a lot to work with.)
5. UCLA (Another notch better this year and continuing to improve the next.)
6. OSU (Will give up a ton of yards on the ground this year.)
7. Arizona (Will give up even more yards on the ground.)
8. Washington (Will surprise a few teams this year.)
9. Stanford (I believe like most that they are on their way. Just a year or two out still in my opinion.)
10. WSU (Read the papers.)
