Honestly, it's two things for me.
1 - I want to beat BSU more than anything this season. Not only will it be a bit of redemption considering what they did to us in Autzen. But at the sametime, winning that game IMO will give us some momentum, which I think would carry us to a 4-0 start.
2 - I can't wait to see what CK has in store for us.
The season will be here before we know it, and it will also end before we know it. The season always takes so long to get here, and then it seems like it's all over very quickly. I'm looking forward to seeing if the defense can step up like the coaching staff seems to think it well. If they don't, it's time to get on Allioti again.
It is already a done deal when it comes to Allow a Lot E.. and hopefully this will be the last year we have to listen to his excuses. Instead of him making excuses would like tos ee him be a man and admit he isnt the coach he thinks he is.
I am looking forward to the season.. I think we will beat Boise State which will give us a lot of momentum. My biggest anxiousness comes with the offensive line. That seems to be our biggest question going into the year. We need it to come together efficiently and quickly so that we can score the 50 points will take for us to win most games because our defense will give up like 35.
I'm really curious to watch our o-line. Mark my words, they will make or break our season.
And I'm also going to make sure not to get too down if we lose to BSU. I think that with a little game experience, we'll improve a lot at certain weak points and be much better when we play our first Pac-10 game than we will be when we play BSU. I'll be happy with just making a run at the Rose Bowl
I want to see if we really do have a secret genious as our new head coach. We can all speculate but until Mr. Kelly has a season under his belt he is an unproven head coach. Because Mike was there for so long I never worried. I believe Chip will be successful but until I see it first hand I will have a little knot in my gut.
I definitely want to beat Boise. I will be pretty down if we lose to them. Their trash talking will get old really quick.
I do want to see a good defense. Seriously... please. Live up to the billing for once. I hope Chip will add some wrinkles and some input to the D that will help it improve. The TOP excuse for terrible stats is getting a little old. I just want to be able to relax a little bit when the opponent is lining up on 3rd and long.
Bellotti has been HC for so long. It will be a little weird at first to see Chip on the sidelines, but if Mike's time is up, I'm glad to see Chip taking over. I want to see what his game speeches will be like on Comcast Sportsnet. It seemed like Bellotti's were getting redundant, but still effective.
Beating Cal is a must this year. It's been what, three seasons since we've had a win against them? I want Oregon to be thought of as the number 1 or 2 team in the conference, year in and year out. Of course, USC will always take one of those spaces, the way things are looking; that means we're competing with Cal.
Only way we make a run for roses this year is if we wind up being #1 or #2.. as The Rose bowl will be hosting the BCS Championship game this year I believe. That leaves I believe the Fiesta Bowl if win Pac 10 I think. I could be mistaken.
Personally, I will be pissed if we lose to Boise State. They beat us on our field last year, and I really want the season to get off to a good start. Of course it wouldn't be the end of the world and it's better to lose early, but that game is huge.
Ya i am nervous that i have my hopes set way to high this year for chip kelly...This season feels like every bad relationship i have been in. My brain is telling me no but, my heart is telling me yes..
