The Texans have signed two veterans in cornerback Deltha O’Neal and running back Andre Hall. To make room on the roster, defensive tackle Jake Visser was waived, and rookie running back Jeremiah Johnson has been placed on the injured reserve and will undergo shoulder surgery.

This may be the best course for JJ... The separated shoulder would need to be surgically repaired sonner or later, and the fact he was placd on injured reserve, rather than waived is an encouraging aspect.

This really shows how much they think of JJ. They could have let him go to make room but have kept him. If his shoulder surgery goes well, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the roster full-time next year as a major contributor for them.

Hmm. Probably is a good thing. But, I was looking forward to watching JJ in pre-season!

The Snoregonian says he was waived.

I wonder if Moseley has been following that story. Seems like phone calls are needed to clear this up.
