If Chip is looking to make a statement in this game, beating the tar out of Boise and dropping a statue on them in the process would get the commentators on ESPN spitting all over the place...hope it happens.

Against BSU: statue of Liberty?
It just donned on me that this is a possibility. Pay homage to the team that pulled of the greatest statue ever by using it for a touchdown?
Do you think Chip would have the gall to embarrass BSU on this type of play? The only downside is that it might fire BSU up afterwards. It wouldn't have been surprising if we used it last year, but ohhh wait, the only quarterback who had confidence with the play was knocked out on a late hit!

Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

That would be awesome to have a 28-35 point lead and just add insult to injury!

"He didn't give it to him!" "He didn't give it to him"
"He faked you. He got you Ness!" ........"He got me"
"Noow, he does't give it to him, he's going to keep it"
"Boise State would love wouldn't they?"
Classic commentary. Probably the funniest stuff I've heard.

Re: Against BSU: statue of Liberty?
When I read this title for the thread I immediately thought of the play against Oklahoma. Couple years ago ESPN had a contest for the fans to decide the Ultimate Highlight. The statue of Liberty against Oklahoma.. made it I believe all the way to final four. I am not sure whether it made it past it.. but every time I watch that play I just laugh that they ran it against Oklahoma. To that end I think would be great to run it against Boise State.. kind of a taste of their own medicine. I highly doubt they will though. Gadget plays like that are usually only ran once.. if they work.. it goes on highlight reel.. if it doesnt they commentators will be.. saying What were they thinking. I personally do not see Chip Kelly using it against Boise State. I do think Chip Kelly does have something though in store for them. Anytime I think of the Statue of Liberty I will immediately think though of the one ran against Oklahoma.. and the one we ran against Michigan.. in the Big House.

I could watch that play and that game over and over again. That was fun. Oh, what could have been.
