With JJ's grit and determination, I fully expect him to be making the rounds at combines next season, after rehabbing the suspect shoulder.

It's unfortunate that an injury is the apparent reason he's been cut.
Hopefully he'll bounce back and get another shot down the road.

I loved JJ at Oregon! Loved him! With that said, he is a little undersized and doesn't have blazing speed. He has great moves but he wasn't durable at Oregon. I wouldn't expect him to be durable in the NFL. Again, loved JJ and appreciated his enthusiasm for Oregon football. One of my favorite parts of game day was having him come down to the GA section and get us all fired up. Gives me chills just thinking about it. But this isn't a surprise to me. JJ will never be a quality NFL running back. He may eventually make a roster, but that will be it. Just my opinion on one of my all time favorite ducks.

Wasn't durable?
How many guys do you know who could have rehabbed a knee well enough to perform at that level, let alone fight through the shoulder injury?
Webster's should use a pic of JJ to illustrate the word.

Wounded,
Durable and tough aren't the same thing. JJ was tough and we all loved him for it. But he was always dealing with injuries. He wasn't durable.

Also, look at how many carries per game he got. Compared to starting backs he didn't even carry the ball that much and he was still getting banged up. I love JJ, but he was not a durable player.

Totally agreed. I was about to say the same thing.

It will be a real struggle for JJ to try to carve out a career in the NFL with this setback. The odds were already stacked against him before this. Regardless, he will always be one of my favorite Ducks ever...

I wouldn't doubt the Jeremiah.
