What happend with his visit this weekend? I heard that he cancelled along with teammate Chris Matthews (Still don't know why we didn't offer him instead of Tunei). Does this mean we are completely out of it or did he cancel for another reason?

I was wondering the same thing. Both of those guys would be good to get, but maybe the coaches are looking at HS guys over them.

Word is we are a long shot for Evans, he may re-schedule but even then we are on the outside looking in apparently.
Matthews is committed to Kentucky, and since we dumped him to chase McNeal his dad is not all that thrilled about that and was on the fence for the visit.

Yeah, unless he really gets blown away IF he visits and everything goes perfect, I doubt he's a duck.

Kentucky's WR's are nothing special, so I'm sure Matthews will step in and be their #1 guy right away. Add that to the fact that we dropped him for a while and I don't see any way he commits to us.

They likely went after Tunei because he'll have 4 years to play 3, and Matthews only has 2 to play 2. He doesn't even have the option to redshirt which the staff often prefers from Jucos.
