Talk on other site, in regard to interest in Oregon. I have no idea what it says but thought would post here and see if anyone knows anything.

His interest in Oregon has risen. We are still likely behind Ohio St but in a strong spot, especially if he wants to stay local.

JHop said that if he chooses to stay closer to home he thinks it could be Oregon.

Washington fans go ballistic and say that’s a homer thing, so forth.

Dawgman says that there is a chance that they trail not only Ohio State but now Oregon. JT really likes Big Joe (FWIW Washington’s DL coach is also Poly and their sons know each other). Maybe they just got that same bit of information third hand.

It looks like JT won’t be deciding for a while, and we’re a contender.

People who watch highlight reels: just how good is this guy? Not sure what the level of competition of HS football is in WA but is he for real?

There's a reason JT is rated where he is. A DT/DE with great athleticism for that size. Legit D-1 basketball player as well. As a publicity stunt Washington offered him for basketball as well.

From just watching clips, he's very good but doesn't look as impressive as korey foreman does. Would love to have both though. (Kinda like savell small and justin flowe last year)

Foreman is more "explosive". J.T. think a more polished H.S. version of DeFo.

That would be very best case scenario. DeFo played in a much tougher and more talented league in Hawaii. He also was underrated. On film, during the recruitment I liked DeFo more than Armstead. Honestly I don't see much similarities between Defo and JT. I'll have to go to some games this year, if there is any.

Yes, Defo was underrated, but J.T. is the #1 ranked player in the country for 2021.

Washington 3A is pretty comparable to Hawaii Open Division in terms of talent. They're both their state's best leagues. I'll give you the Hawaii open is going to have better linemen, overall and the big 3(St. Louis, Punahou, Mililani) would dominate WA 3A up front. Overall, there's not a big talent difference in what they produce for D-1 though. Eastside Catholic alone has 2 5* kids this year.

A very little nugget on JT that is probably meaningless, courtesy of a Washington fan: On Instagram JT has been following Oregon players and commits at a much higher rate than Washington’s or Ohio State’s. It could mean nothing, but he’s not following many Washington guys unless they are local while he’s following Oregon 2021 recruits from all over.

Probably not worth much, but who knows.

Other semi related Washington tidbit: out of JT’s class of 2020 4 star teammates accused of a group sexual assault only Washington’s is enrolled at his NLI school. Ayden Hector and Stanford parted ways after they found out. He has since walked on at Wazzu. DJ Rogers is not on Cal’s roster. Meanwhile, at Washington some legal threats to keep Sam Adams II on the roster. The son of the great NFL DT, who’s father was accused and not convicted of pay theft and other financial crimes from when he owned a chain of athletic clubs in Washington and Oregon.

More has come to light on the Eastside Catholic guys, such as dropped assault charges for a group beating in a Safeway parking lot including a large number of their football players. Much like the the sexual assault investigation it could be surmised that the police and DAs office are either very incompetent or protecting star football players.

Tough to say because I think we're just a lot more active on social media in general than most teams.

Would have LOVED for JTT to see us play Ohio State when Autzen is at full throttle this year. One of the many reasons not getting that game was a bummer.

If JTT stays West it will be for the Ducks and the overriding reason why will be the simple fact that we just have more top-caliber players in our program and especially on Defense.

It's a lot easier to understand our recruiting if you think Mario as just USC Pete Carroll.
