Adam Hall talks about the visit to Oregon, and mentioned this:
"I went by myself, but it was a plus – getting to see what they can do for you and their facilities, the new facilities that are being made and their plan to expand the stadium around what would be my junior year if I was to go there."

This is really the most interesting tidbit form that article. What did we add seats wise last time? It was 13-14,000 right? THis would put us in the 72-73,000+ range.

I have heard that after the baseball stadium and basketball stadium are done...they will start construction on the north (i think) side. I think that will be really nice looking

I'm not sure. 14k sounds right. I never got to see a game in Autzen before the expansion. Now I'm really looking towards this new expansion.

I'm not sure. 14k sounds right. I never got to see a game in Autzen before the expansion. Now I'm really looking towards this new expansion.

I was in school when the expansion happened but I don't remember the pre-expansion number.

It added about 12,000 seats plus boxes

OH boy, ADD more seats and Autzen will be louder than before.

Mikfot has a great rendering of Autzen on Steroids in the picture thread. I think its on page 3 at the bottom.

Another factor in the noise level would be that much of the crowd noise that currently escapes over the north bank would instead reverberate within the confines of a larger Autzen.

However, let’s not forget that 20 years ago, Bill Musgrave and Derek Loville were recruited to Oregon with the promise that Autzen would have a dome during their careers. Best not to get too caught up in promises made to recruits.

i was just going to mention that very thing.

ah, Dome would be sick!.

I think domes suck all of the fun out sports ... I would never go to a single game if Autzen was a dome.

Ya, that's why I hate the Minnesota games (I watched a few this year when nothing else was on) and it just looked like they were playing in a basketball arena...Not right. I love Autzen, I don't think we NEED anything else, but I can't wait to see what they come up with!

What's the point of a dome when "it never rains at Autzen Stadium".
