Mitch Richmond B- B- C B- C- A
Great all around basketball player. His jumper is about as textbook as anybody’s in this draft class, he does not need much room whatsoever. He still needs to work on his long range and attacking the paint. While Mitch is a contender to be a top pick in a weak class, scouts rave about his tenacity for wanting to win. Very competitive defender. An your face defender who always loves a challenge. Overall amazing potential
Hersey Hawkins B- C+ C B D B
An unselfish player, who has a strong desire to succeed within the team concept. Loves to play the point guard position but just doesn’t have the speed to continue up and down the court against quicker guards. Defensively, he can guard almost anyone unless there over seven feet tall. Great at fundamentals. Amazing shooting form. Still working on his three point shooting. Attacks the basket well. Overall great potential
Rex Chapman C+ B- C B- D+ A
All the talent to become an effective player at a high level. His defensive activity is a byproduct of consistently being alert. Chapman is clear that he does his homework on the opposition’s tendencies and find ways to expose them on offense. Shoots the ball at high percentages. Attacks the ball at even higher level of percentages. His biggest strength is catching and shoot. Scouts feel if he can continue to develop that, he can be a real threat in DASL. Amazing raw potential
Willie Anderson B- B C- B- D C
Ready now prospect. A highly versatile player on both ends of the court, capable of playing multiple positions. High motor. Specifically on defense, gets by with IQ more than elite quickness or length. A high energy level that will make him effective off the ball and cause turnovers for opposing teams. Will be either be an all star, scouts feel he potential is best suited as a role player. Limited potential
Jeff Grayer B- C C+ B D B
Ready now prospect. Grayer has shown adequate vision and a nice ability to make adjustments when needed. Excels at getting to the basket. A playmaker for others on the court. On offense, he wins using his fundamentals as opposed to pure athleticism. At defense, he hounds the ball handler and creates mistakes for the opposing teams. Solid potential
Ricky Berry C+ B C- C+ C B
Outside sharpshooter with the ability to attack the paint but finishing isn't the best. Below average defender but makes up for it with his rebounding for the position. Good potential.
Vinny Del Negro B- B- C B- D D
Very good all around player who can fit any type of offense. Nothing will blow you away but a solid rotation piece. Can handle PG duties with his average handles but needs to get better at finding teammates. Good defender outside the arch. Limited potential.
Ledell Eackles B C+ C- C C B
Can score from anywhere inside the arch and is very efficient at doing it. Below average man defender but has the ability to generate a turnover or two. Good potential.
Kevin Edwards B- B- C+ B- C- C
Similar to Del Negro but not as accomplished with the ball in his hands. Scoring is more advanced too but it a game of chance with the ball in his hands whether he will turn it over or score. ok defender, nothing special. Average potential.
John Starks B- C C- B+ D+ B
Stocky player who uses his size to overcome natural ability. Accomplished at driving in the lane offensively but gets less confident further he gets from the basket. Very good defender and known to step in front of passes to start a fast break. Good potential.
Vernon Maxwell B- C C+ B+ D C
Similar profile to John Starks but a more advanced offensive game inside the arch. Very good inside that area. Accomplished defender who can hold his own. Will be in this league for many years with his defense and as a spot scorer. Average potential.
Dan Majerle C+ B- C- B- C B
Scorer at all levels but needs to improve all areas. Best suited as a spot three point shooter currently. Good perimeter defender with his long arms causing a turnover or two. Very good potential.
