Re: Wheaton to OSU
i am not going to go nuts here but I have to say that in my opinion we have dropped the ball a bit here. There is no way that going into this winter that he was a Beaver lean. That being said they did something that we didn't. I don't know what that is but to lose Philipp and Wheaton to the Beavs the same week is crazy bad. I know that we never believed Philipp was a possibility but OSU sure did and they got him. I hope that things turn out for us on a couple of the guys that are left or we are screwed at WR. IMO

Re: Wheaton to OSU
It is very possible the Ducks miss out on most or all of the WR's they are going after. The coaches either have being doing something wrong or they went after too many guys and each felt the others would commit and therefore there would be too much competition. I am not too concerned because the Ducks have some depth at WR, albeit young and inexperienced, but there is already a lot of 2010 WR's looking at the Ducks. I would just like to get Hall at WR, Harris, Boyd and Brown and I will be happy.

Re: Wheaton to OSU
He needs to be disowned!!!! Slightly joking, but losing a wr to OSU is kind of embarrassing. Not even taking into account his family ties.

What the hell? What do they have that we don't? And this after Kenny Wheaton at Oregon as well? This makes no sense.

I just don't get it. Why make the coaching changes public when we did? I may be a moron but this is probably going to cost us a lot more in the near future.

Re: Wheaton to OSU
I've been saying all along that I didn't think he would end up being a duck. I didn't think he would be a beaver though....
This is going to be even more frustrating if we still miss on Jackson and Gaines.

Re: Wheaton to OSU
Everyone here thinks we need 4 receivers. At this point, I'd like to see two more. With our depth and Tuinei already committed, I think we are fine. We still have Hall on the boards, the possibility of Jackson, and lady luck has to come to our side at some point with a surprise committ. Oregon State must be jacked though with Phillips and Wheaton.

Re: Wheaton to OSU
Oregon State also has 4 star JC receiver Reggie Dunn coming in. I guess that beatdown in the civil war didn't mean much.
