Would Oregon take both James and Paul at RB for this class? Or is it one or the other?

I imagine they would but it doesn't seem likely with Paul not visiting Eugene.

I don’t think Jarek Broussard is that good and I’m somewhat glad we didn’t get him. I’ll eat crow if he does better with Sparty, but I’ve never been too impressed - he’s had high yardage games, including a 300 yarder against an awful 2020 Arizona, based on a 50+ and two 70+ yard carries in that game during the fluke season for Colorado.

Color me skeptical when 1/5 of someone’s career yardage comes in five carries against the likes of Arizona or Oregon State and most of his games are of the 4.5 yards per carry or worse variety.

I hadn't broken down his stats to this degree, but I did think it interesting that people kept citing him as the 2020 Pac 12 offensive POY. In a shortened season, in a conference that was late to the party and not one good team in the lot, that really isn't saying much. His 2021 season was really not great, either. Probably not someone to mourn over, other than losing out to Sparty on a recruit, which isn't great.

I’ve been a Dollars skeptic as well. When I rewatched the 2020 USC game, even with the small sample size and weird season disclaimer, I saw enough to be optimistic. Dollars isn’t winning a 40 yard dash against Cardwell, but he has agility, balance, and vision to be an effective college RB. Difficult to quantify those attributes, but I’d rather roll with him than use the spot on a volume RB with a known ceiling like Broussard.

It'd be nice if Oregon could get a speedy back who's got a bit of home run ability. Closest Oregon has to it is maybe McGee but it's TBD where he'll actually end up playing the majority of his plays.

Well Micah Williams is on campus. He played RB on the JV team at Benson as a Freshman. Runs the 100 meters at 9.91, That's makes LMJ and DAT look like sloths.

Rather him just stick with track and have him become an All-American there and go to the Olympics again.
