Probably not the best news people want to be hearing with Dowdell openly saying he's torn between Oregon and Ole Miss now.

I get there’s plenty of reason for him to stay home by why a back like him would want to play for Leach is interesting to say the least.

Oh duh. Mississippi State has been after him too, and recently did a home visit, so when I saw Miss I immediately assumed Mississippi State.

RB is a position I'm not worried about. Bucky and Noah have two additional years of eligibility remaining and Jordan is a True Freshman. I get wanting to keep the pipeline going, but there's just not a whole lot of touches available for more than three backs.

Looks like Dowdell is now all locked-in to Oregon after the home visit from Locklyn, Lanning, and Stein.

He's big and somewhat fast (4.6ish)...but IIRC didn't play against the top top competition
Hard to bring down once he gets going. Maybe a comp to someone like Blount or Freeman although he's lighter than Blount right now

Personally, let DD become the BEST version of himself.
That will likely be sufficient to the cause.

Watching his SR year Hudl I'd say he looks very similar to Royce Freeman with a touch of Bucky in his "suddenness"

From the little highlights I have watched these are all good comparisons the past RB’s mentioned. He is big, 212lbs as a high school senior, he will get bigger. Against other high school players he is a powerful runner with size. I expect he will get plenty of reps next season.
