This is a weird one. I don't see him coming unless Nix goes to the NFL and DJ transfers to the Ducks.

But I also do not see DJ starting for Ohio State or USC next year... (I don't think)

Anyone have an opinion here?

Probably comes down to NIL since he clearly isn't following his brother.

I would put my money on tOSU but the only thing I’m confident of is that it isn’t Oregon ha. Which is too bad because winning recruiting battles like this is why we payed Tosh so much.

What makes everyone say it isn’t Oregon?

I have yet to see an Oregon insider confident in our chances with him. Big Dave is also after the biggest pile of cash he can get so it makes sense that Oregon will be the odd man out.

100% agree and frankly I am getting tired of the whole act with the father. He is making this whole process more about him than the kids.

If Tosh can't close this, he shouldn't even be on the staff.

Literally the reason we're paying him so much and our edge class is trash.

Posts like this make me wonder if the average fan legitimately thinks they can recruit better. Why do you follow recruiting if you can't stomach losing out on a player that literally can go wherever he wants?

lol, arguments like this are always so ridiculous. Fans aren't being paid millions of dollars to recruit like Tosh is. It was no secret he was brought on for recruiting purposes and so far, he's really not cutting it if we are being honest.

I just don’t understand where these outsized expectations came from. We’ve never gotten 3-4 5*s a class. This class is on par with anything we’ve done in the past, and it’s in our new HC’s first class. Things will likely only get better for us in recruiting.

You do know that Matayo is going to the highest bidder right? Tosh and his contract have nothing to do with acquiring this specific recruit you're concerned with.

I think some confuse recruiting real humans with recruiting in video games. “Leans” and “predictions” and all the other jargon we’ve created around recruiting always makes me chuckle. We’re talking about kids choosing a college, and kids unsurprisingly do kid things.
At the macro level, sure, it’s on our coaches to connect with kids interested in coming to Oregon, but when you zoom in on one kid, either UO is what he’s looking for or it’s not….

Ridiculous how? It's ridiculous to think that Oregon is on the same level as usc and Ohio State in terms of recruiting. Even when usc was down they still pulled in good classes. Oregon can't put out an average season and expect to pull in 5 star talent consistently. Some of you think that Oregon should be pulling in every guy they offer. To be honest, given the recent coaching change and the loss of a good OC, it's pretty impressive to see the class they already have now, even with the loss of moore.
