I don’t think Ole Miss and Missouri are top ten teams, they’re ranked as high as they are cause they’re in the SEC.

Yeah maybe not. But hard to fill in with other teams LOL!

The reality is we are seeing most teams struggle at least in one game they shouldnt so far. But I will agree that neither Missouri/Ole Miss have had a solid win yet either. So I’m in agreement that they’re not looking the part so far.

Their competition has been subpar, but they've been one of the more impressive teams to date. The Kentucky defense is pretty stout, and will likely finish as one of the better defense in the country. They held Georgia to just 13 points

I think Miami could lose at Cal next week. They also have to play Louisville and Georgia Tech.

I can't imagine them losing more than 1-2 games, if that, though.

Ol' Miss will have plenty of opportunities to prove themselves, as their schedule still includes LSU, Oklahoma and Georgia.

Kentucky gave Georgia a game, so maybe this is more of a reflection of Kentucky being better than people think, rather than Ole Miss being overrated. Not making a claim either way, but time will tell.

Kentucky also gave up 31 to South Carolina tho.

Even if Kentucky is elite defense, Ole Miss has played a poor game at home.

What if South Carolina is decent? Or maybe they just had a bad game against them. We have 2 examples now of them playing well against top 10 teams, and one example of them not playing as well against South Carolina (which should have beaten a ranked LSU).

I just don’t consider blowout wins against FCS or bottom FBS teams to hold much value. Missouri and Ole Miss showed they can beat up poor teams, but struggle against average teams.

Just looked at a box score for the Lousiville/ Notre Dame game: I did not realize Tyler Shough is Louisville's starting qb now. Man, that guy gets around. Him and Cam McCormick ought to be college professors by now.

No, neither are that good. Ole Miss and Missouri aren’t bad teams by any mean I just don’t think they’re top 10 teams and it showed last week and this week. Missouri should’ve lost to a bad Vanderbilt team and Ole Miss did lose to Kentucky. Not saying this is you but that is the media mindset unfortunately, instead of realizing Ole Miss wasn’t that good the narrative will be that Kentucky IS really good and should be ranked high. Meanwhile when that happens in other conferences the narrative is that the higher ranked team was just not a real contender. SEC bias is stronger than ever right now.

We won't know how good Kentucky is until they play Louisville at the end of the year. They are probably, like every year, a carbon copy of Iowa. Imagine your favorite team averaging about 9 points per game in games of consequence.
