Will Lincoln Riley Be Back Next Season?

Unless they're able to make a major turnaround, I don't see it happening. Losing a close game on the road vs Michigan was excusable, but the losses at home vs Minnesota and Penn State seemed like the dagger.

My concern is them bringing in another big name coach who could actually build them up on both sides of the ball. Someone who has the know how to bring in a staff that can not only coach, but also recruit at a high level.

Two of the most logical candidates, Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian, would likely be immediately removed from consideration. Sark is clean and sober and has a great thing going now at Texas. Kiffin's recent attention from players faking injuries shows that he really hasn't changed much.

I think maybe the best candidate might just be another UW coach - Jedd Fisch.

The guy can coach, and if he were to get that job, and put together a formidable staff, I could see him potentially building a powerhouse there.

Actually, I expect him to have UW in good shape again in the next 1-2 years.

It'll be interesting to see how things play out.

I don't think he's fired until next year.

Pete Kwiatkowski would be my choice if I was them.

Are you saying the end of next season?

That's also a possibility since all 3 losses have been close and he did just hire a new DC.

They have to pay Riley too much to fire him this year, and minor correction, the Minnesota loss was a road game for USC. I personally hope Riley stays there for a while with his inability to win big games and super soft defense!

Ahhh..I didn't realize that was a road game. Thanks for the polite correction. :-)
