Good prediction, if it comes true I’ll be a big Tennessee fan.

Very likely that ASU gets the shaft and is not the 4th seed but the 12th seed and that Clemson is the 4th seed. Alabama probably ends up at 11 and I'm probably giving the committee too much credit and Clemson will get 3 and Boise/ASU 4th and the other 12th.
#1 Oregon
vs OSU/UT
#2 Georgia
vs ND/Indiana
#3 Boise St
vs PSU/Alabama
#4 Clemson
vs Texas/ASU

I don't even know if I would rather play PSU or OSU at this point.
I didn't think PSU was a very good team but we did not play well against them today. They're apparently playing their 7th straight game and it looked like our D was playing its 7th straight.
Logically, PSU should be behind OSU because of the head to head match up.

If Oregon gets Ohio State in the quarters and Texas in the semis, that's as bad a draw as you could imagine. Both teams are potentially the second best in the country.

I'm happy if SMU makes it over Alabama.

If the defense repeats the same performance against those teams I don’t think Oregon wins.

It pretty ridiculous how they structured the playoffs and teams with resumes like Boise, ASU, and Clemson can have a first week bye. The four best teams should receive first week byes, and they are no where near that discussion.

Why is every prediction always has us against an Ohio State, Texas or a Georgia?
#1 seeds are supposed to have the better draw

Since this isn’t a reseeded tourney, the top seed plays the lowest guaranteed seed team, the 8/9 seed. Reseeded tournaments like the NFL playoffs have the lowest playing the highest every round

Because those who designed this 12 team playoff are incompetent and don’t know what they’re doing.

I would say that the problem is systematic in CFB, more specifically FBS (1-A), and not just the new scam of the 12 team playoff.
The over expansion of conferences is designed to rely on voters & rankings to decide which team is better, rather than the very simple W-L record (that works for the NFL and other pro sports). The 12 playoff is just an extension of that.
I envision the voters & committees like the old guard talent scouts in the movie Moneyball. Why do we want these other teams that aren't the traditional powerhouses in the playoff? They won more games.

In theory, I don't hate it. You reward teams for actual achievements instead of perceived strength, which lends itself to more bias. If we were in the perennially* disrespected PAC, won it, and got a 7th seed behind a bunch of southeastern-north-southern conference teams, I would be livid, so giving the actual achievers a leg up makes sense in that regard. It's just the way the cookie crumbles, it seems. I'm positive they'll fine tune it next time around, though.

The reason I'm not worried is that we don't know what could happen to our opponents in the 1st round so I view these games in that batman/rohrsacht "I'm not in here with you, you're in here with ME" attitude.

I think they should let Alabama in and have them play in the Rose Bowl vs Oregon so the ducks can pound them to smithereens.
Beyond this, I think it's very funny that pretty much every thing that was needed to exclude Alabama from the playoffs came to pass. You could not draw it up any better than to have SMU come roaring back, only to lose on a last-second long field goal. Now it's just up to the honk committee who already put them above Miami. If I were the ACC and SMU gets excluded after what happened to Florida State last year, I might start examining other options.
If the committee has any sense, they will position games with teams who haven't played each other wherever possible.
