Great season indeed. Second undefeated regular season in school history. Big 10 champs in our first year in the conference. We beat three playoff teams along the way, the defending champs in their backyard, and handled both of our rivals with ease.

I think it's easy to lose perspective after such an embarrassing and disappointing performance in the Quarterfinal, but college football is a stupid, silly, and messy sport. Had this been in the BCS-era, Oregon takes on Georgia, winner take all, for the Natty. Had we had *this* team last year, we're likely in the 4-team playoff and Ohio State would have been left out. It's the life of an Oregon-sports fan to have an undefeated squad not only have to win 3 playoff games but go through that seeding.

Just looking at who lost, it feels like if Ohio State beats Texas, Oregon is almost guaranteed to be at least #3 to finish the season, and probably #2. I know all the haters are coming out and talking about zero mythical championships blah blah blah, but #2 in college football behind the $20 million team is a really good season.
